  1. I'd be more inclined to suggest your response is the problem, personally.
  2. Schneiderlin wasn't even a nailed on starter last season when he was fit, so I'm not sure what you're basing that on. He didn't start at Plymouth, having been back fit since the Swindon match. He was also a sub away to Huddersfield, when you'd expect our best side to be on the pitch. Mind you, he did play a lot of games even after we signed Chaplow.
  3. Paterson was a trier, but never looked good enough for League One. James will probably grow into a vaguely competent midfielder, but everyone we've brought into midfield and in defence since is better than him. I'd go as far to say Jermaine Wright looked more effective than he did in similar positions.
  4. Well, you could try justifying it. He generally brings facts to an argument. If people don't want to discuss the flaws in their preconceptions after the facts have been added to the debate, I think that says more about them than him.
  5. Or understand any of it, anyway.
  6. It appears by your constant asking of very obvious questions that you are quite thick. Why is that ? If you can answer this... great.
  7. Yes they do, I got one saying "Renew your ST" which wasn't exactly selling the concept to me, and that was it. Still one more than last year. I get endless crap from them about selling Corporate or attending sharty pre-season games I have no interest in though. It's mental.
  8. At Plymouth he was quite clearly waggling his finger and shaking his head to the "Back From the Dead" song in an "I do not approve" manner, and then applauded the "nanananananana David Connolly" song immediately after it. That's pretty unambiguous.
  9. I'm pretty sure what actually happened was that Spurs paid the Skate Cheats £1m for Begovic, only for them to sell Begovic to Stoke.
  10. He does not like this.
  11. You make a fair point.
  12. In addition to the kits already launched (above), we can expect other kit launches from : Saints H Saints A Wales H Wales A and possibly Northern Ireland H - as they're still using the 2010 Saints away kit template as far as I can tell. Pretty sure everyone else (including Huddersfield, who didn't even have an Umbro deal announced until May) has their new shirt for 2011/12 already out there, and the international sides will want to wait until they actually have a match to launch kits - Wales have a new badge and have already come in for criticism for changing it immediately after the last kit launch, so will wait as late as possible before changing it again, and Northern Ireland aren't likely to have a different deal to everyone else so must have a new home kit soon too.
  13. People will start moaning about it on Wednesday next week, 20th July, when it is revealed. I personally would like to start moaning about the complete lack of mention of the away kit... now.
  14. Shame they're never going to wear it in a match !
  15. Just noticed that the NY Cosmos kit style (not to be confused with the Teamwear Cosmos style) has the same shirt template as the Blackburn A and Linfield A with slightly different collars. That might allow for a striped front, a black element on the shoulder AND a white sleeve as described by various people, as well as having the Cosmos collar (or a variation). So it would actually fit all the descriptions I'd give any credibility to so far. Or it might just be the Clifton, and others are absolutely making it up, boringly. .
  16. And the Unique / non-teamwear kits : Unique shirts : Man City H Man City A Blackburn H Sunderland H Rangers H New York Cosmos H New York Cosmos blackout Rounded Y collar and contrast sleeve : Blackburn A Linfield A
  17. Quick recap of what's out there based on the Umbro Teamwear range... The Clifton : Huddersfield H The Chevron : Canada H Canada A Huddersfield A Northern Ireland A The Pinnacle : Athletic Bilbao A Sunderland A Ireland A Nottingham Forest A Rangers A The Cosmos : Nottingham Forest H (without contrast colour) Nottingham Forest A Linfield H Livingston H Livingston A The Continental : Ireland H (with collar) Hearts A
  18. It is, because the original mock up was a photoshop of the Huddersfield kit. It's on about page 14 of this thread. I'm pretty sure we have a better Umbro deal than Huddersfield, in that we are dealing with Umbro directly, not via a third party local supplier, so I'd expect our kit to be more "bespoke" - though given the uninspiring use of templates for clubs so far I'd be surprised to see anything genuinely "new".
  19. You're right about the wording, but wasn't it stated (or at least implied) that if you renewed after today the cost would be as it was for a new ST and there was no guarantee you'd get your seat ? i.e. it's not a renewal ? Not that it makes any difference other than to cost as we don't have any year-on-year loyalty schemes in place at the moment.
  20. I'm not going to say who told me, and I don't know who told them anyway, but what I was told was that he left entirely due to not being able to work with Cortese.
  21. Actually it was a concept I was putting forward, and StuDaveRomseyBensonPhillips didn't think we'd get rid of STs altogether. I didn't think so either, but I could see it as a natural progression fuelled by slight paranoia about the Cortese Tax and unheralded removal of the instalment plan at the time. I think the inability to cope with 25,000 tickets on the day is the one significant factor preventing Saints dumping STs altogether, and if they do want to maximise the upfront ST revenue they're going about it in the most backwards way possible.
  22. I have a reliable source who has reliable sources.
  23. Fair point that I hadn't even thought about actually, we wouldn't have gained anyone over the number last season, we can only lose them at this point. It'll be interesting to see if the people of Southampton are enthused for the return of Championship football with the chance of success, which I'd argue we haven't seen since the summer of 2007, or whether they're just waiting for the Premier League to come calling.
  24. Seems you are overreacting a tad. All he did was confirm the month Saganowski actually left, which if anything underlined your assertion that it seemed amazing he was around at the start of that season. IIRC Saganowski was an extremely reluctant participant in some of the pre-season matches, though that was the case in 2008 as well.
  25. If it is, B Rabbit's mock up would be the one (with the additional white around the aap3 logo, and presumably black shorts) : But it would also contradict pretty much EVERYTHING we've heard about the kit except that one statement.
