Revenue streams at St Mary's for 2011/12 season...
The9 replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Aaaaargh, I hate it I hate it I hate it I hate it. So that's covered that off. Sooooooooooooooooooooo grasping and small-time mentality. I also hate music after goals, and stupid flag waving. And enforced handshakes, but all of those are desperate big-time mentality pieces of idiocy, so we haven't got to complaining about those yet. Any mention of how much Car Park barrier sponsorship is worth ? -
I'd quite like us to finish comfortably above non-rivals Brighton this season to at least get the chance to massively take the p155 out of them for last season's antics before we go back to the kind of non-rivalry we currently have with Spurs again. If Brighton, Cardiff and Skate Cheats FC went down I'd pee my pants laughing.

Maybe, but Gobern's red was for a split second misjudgement of jumping for a header and then going for a sliding tackle at the same time and he's never likely to do that again, and Doble's red was a pretty harmless high arm holding someone off, so it's a pretty weak premise to begin with. Lancashire was also sent off for stuff all IIRC. And nothing Pulis does correlates to any training Saints would have given... To address the OP, Doble's going to find it tough to get into the side, probably needs a 6 month loan to someone like Aldershot, Oxford or Bournemouth and see if he's got something lower down. It worked for Lallana, Surman and (arguably) McGoldrick.

Delicious. What do I do now ?
-
Really ? We tried to get "That's the way Pahars Pahars I like it" going for about 2 months in 1999 before giving up.
-
Pretty sure that's Ryan Doble with the blonde hair near the back with #29 on his training top between Holmes in the foreground and Forte. That was his squad number last season as well. I can't see Ben Reeves. Dickson is between Martin and Fonte, and if I absolutely had to guess, I'd say Schneiderlin was the tallish- brown haired player right at the back, immediately behind Holmes' head. There's also a black player's knee where Martin's left knee would be if it wasn't behind him - and you can't see ANYTHING else of the player. I'm going to stick my neck out and say it's Jaidi not Puncheon. .

My current guess is that we'll wear last season's away kit again, possibly with the sponsor. Putting the sponsor on the sash kit would be a horrible job so I suspect they'll avoid it altogether. On the bright side it'll avoid me having any issues remembering the last time a Saints team wore the previous season's out of date kit in pre-season, which was a discussion we had earlier in the thread...
-
I'm glad someone gets it.
-
Yes it is, exactly the same - except some of the players are wearing the black monitoring vests over the top half so they look different.
-
I'm pretty sure they might be Crab Lungs mock ups under a different id. Either way, they are just guesses, like all the others on here. I don't believe the "stars" name thing, because the club wouldn't wish to draw attention to certain former players, and not to have them on there would be a massive faux pas.
-
So the corporate branding of the Liebherr Memorial stuff is going to replace the club logo despite it already being used on the advertisement for the new kit ? Riiiiight. Patred's started taking ART's medication, I think.

He was caretaker manager at Aston Villa and Wolves as well, and assistant manager at Palace and Wolves too. Pretty busy and almost always employed. Clearly knows his limits though.

Scott Steedman quits as Head of Sales & Marketing...
The9 replied to saintscottofthenortham's topic in The Saints
Fair point well made. -
I said this about a week ago, completely agree. I'd rather have a load of separate threads for each player, the ones with merit stay and the cobblers alls off the front page pretty quickly anyway. Not to mention that there isn't much else going on to make it worth looking at the site. Which doesn't stop me checking, of course...
-
Soccerbase will know and it wouldn't take long to find out. I'm not checking though.

If we deleted the personal arguments from this thread there would be about 4 posts of any worth. Good work. -
I mocked most of these kind of options up on page 30 or thereabouts, some look nice and some look cack. And as you'll see, you're right about the pink effect. Meanwhile, here's yet another Umbro away kit with the shoulder template, Lille : and here's the second sighting of the sort-of Cosmos collar in the wild, after the Blackburn away kit :

I sent one to Steve but we've changed 6 of the dates/times already.

It's a fair point but what I mean is that on balance, taking everything into consideration, including the likelihood of injuries, suspensions, players excelling or whatever, as it stands at the moment I think the probability is that we'd finish midtable. If everything goes wrong and the club loses it's owners, I still think it's unlikely we'd go down, if we have good luck and the side do well I think it's unlikely we'll get automatic. So on balance, comfortable mid-table. I'd go so far as to say top half, maybe play-off contenders with a couple of months to go.

Glad you're not believing it, it's appallingly badly put together. Makes me laugh to think some people think even initial mock-ups would be that amateurish, even a designer's first draft if he even did it on paper would be more professional than that. Gecko put together his designs in less than a day and he actually designed Saints kits circa 2008. Even I can sling together mock ups which look better than that and I've got no design experience at all.

Well, I say thick black bands = Exeter or non-League kit.
-
Have to say I'm not too keen, too much black. Works for the yellow / blue (as seen earlier in the thread) :
