  1. Good ball from Soares finally and Long heads it over the crossbar.
  2. VVD gave the pen away, tugging Berahino. GREAT SAVE FF!!!
  3. He got goal side of Yoshi by the looks of it.
  4. ********. And my feed is behind as well...
  5. Another effort on goal from Fletcher well blocked by Bertrand for a corner.
  6. Damn that was a fine challenge by VVD on Allen.
  7. FF taking command of the penalty area there...good to see.
  8. Another chance for Stoke. Choupo-Moting forces an excellent low save by FF.
  9. Long with a chance to score but the goalie does well to block it.
  10. Bertrand snuffs out a Stoke goal scoring opportunity, with FF out of position.
  11. Redmond played in beautifully but he misses the target.
  12. Great chance for Stoke with FF saving a Shaqiri shot.
  13. Saints starting to look tidy in possession without posing much threat. Lemina has a decent crack at goal but off target.
  14. Hopefully Stoke will be even more bitter about missing out on Lemina after today’s game.
  15. Also, I wonder if Hoedt’s knee injury is a factor in having him start on the bench.
  16. No Jesé Rodriquez for Stoke. He’s not even on the bench.

    Koeman

Thats a schadenfreudingly good result for Koeman.
  18. Forster's been recalled into the England squad, replacing Heaton, who is out with an injury.
  19. I had a few stabs at putting a positive spin on VVD's media / social media antics this summer, and as things escalated he proved me wrong in spectacular fashion. He's sucking up to his suitors in Liverpool. That is all.
  20. I can see Yoshi and VVD starting together at CB if Hoedt's knee problem continues.
  21. I really like Lemina. He takes some of the pressure off Romeu in the middle of the park. He's very comfortable on the ball, and he looks to be OK with the physical stuff as evidenced by his scraps with Fellaini today. He seems to appreciate the chant that the supporters made up for him - he retweeted it from his Twitter account last week
  22. I'm caught in two minds about the goal. He shoved Hoedt twice before his header: once with two hands to the chest, which gave him space, and then a second with a shove in the back as Hoedt attempted to recover and meet the cross, knocking him off balance. Part of me thinks the second shove was a foul. Part of me thinks Hoedt should have been stronger. Hoedt is carrying an injury to his knee. Makes me wonder if VVD will be coming back for the next game- Hoedt was slow to get up after a couple of challenges in the second half.
  23. I'm feeling the same about today's game. I was ****ing grumpy all weekend after the Watford loss. There were lots of good signs in the second half the way we bossed them and pretty much forced Mourinho to park the bus and rely on the counter. Lemina looks great in possession and showed quite a bit of steel when dealing with Fellaini. He needs to work on his passing though. Even Redmond improved after a poor first half.
  24. Redmond had two shots on target.
  25. Scramble from corner, United clear...and the ref blows the final whistle...not enough injury time played in my book.
