NFL is one of my favourites ever since the ‘85 Chicago Bears. I still remember watching Channel 4’s coverage with Mick Luckhurst in the late 80’s. It was a real treat coming to N. America and watching full NFL games on the telly every weekend, it almost made up for the non-existent football coverage in the early 90’s. Haven’t seen the NFL in person yet, just the CFL.

Now the Welsh and Scots can concentrate on their usual post-failure position of supporting whoever’s playing against England. More than half of the Welsh squad for the Ireland game were born in England. I can’t respect a program that sole-sources half its squad from a neighboring nation.

I can’t give you numbers, I’m certainly not even sure if it was loads, but in his last season with us more than one poster complained about Pelle’s lack of pace slowing down attacks.

Scotland suddenly looking in danger of not making the playoffs. I’m not saying this to wind up Saints fans who support other home nations but my usual response to this is **** ‘em. Scots, Welsh and Irish supporters get so excited when England (inevitably) lose at tournaments. I actively hope that “Wales” lose. For some reason I cheer for N.Ireland though. Can’t explain why. Maybe it’s Davis.

Considering Luxembourg drew 0-0 against France in the last round, the Dutch may have hoped for a closer result.
