  1. @rossdunbar93: Kostic is having a medical at HSV. After getting Halilovic, this is turning out to be a cracking window. https://t.co/KqtRYjW5xt Had been linked with us earlier in the summer.
  2. Minor point but they used to wrote longer articles with numerous quotes. Now to get more clicks they have shortened each article to being barely more than a couple of sentences of quotes, dragging a 3 min You Tube video into 2 or 3 separate articles over a few days. Its all taken from the You Tube so between that and Twitter there is no need to go there as the content is all there now. However, at least they use paragraphs, unlike Swansea's amateurs.
  3. If Fonte couldn't play I am fairly certain Maya would (rightly) be picked ahead of Stephens. If we play this two strikers and one behind 4-3-3 it will be interesting to see if Tadic and Redmond feature in the same team very often.
  4. Likewise Vince, if he does get dropped, may feel he needs to prove himself against D1 bowling to get back in. Allround the season could barely have gone worse.
  5. He was injured when he joined us which probably didn't help. He missed both pre seasons.
  6. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/7215722/Brian-McClairs-departure-from-SFA-leaves-more-questions-than-answers.html?CMP=spklr-_-Editorial-_-TWITTER-_-scotsunsport-_-20160722-_-Sport-_-524710821 Mentioned as a possible candidate for a job with Scotland setup.
  7. Right side much better than left. Very comfortable. Clasie and Romeu bossing it.
  8. Isn't one of them against his old team as well? Most of the players aren't going to play all 3 games so some are going to miss this one as all the players who recently returned have. When they all come back, some others won't be in the squad presumably. He may have a knock, but clearly its not a sign he is leaving which was initially mentioned.
  9. They are all on the bench. Presumably most will be on for the second half. Personally think we have taken too many players considering there is only one friendly when they get back to England and they will all need game time in Holland but Puel will want to see all the players. By product of that is not everyone will play every game, especially when some start playing more than 45mins.
  10. Surely being kept back for the tougher games later in the week, seeing as Puel will use the first one to give some of the younger lads more game time. Not every player will be able to feature in every game as we have taken 28 players. If he were leaving then he would not have travelled yesterday!
  11. Yep. Owned by Monaco, was on loan at Nice last season.
  12. In the PL if you aren't blessed with either lot of pace or lots of strength then you have to be very good technically to be successful.
  13. If we were done then it would be a concern as we are clearly weaker right now than at the end of last season. But we aren't done. Crook commentates online for TalkSport and writes in the Daily Star. That speaks volumes. He is the south coast Moose.
  14. Looks like only Josh Sims didn't make the Holland trip out of the U21s who went to America. Big squad (28) to give enough game time to considering there is only one friendly when we get back and the first choice team need to build up to 90mins, but a good chance for Puel to see what he has at his disposal.
  15. No. He hasn't travelled. Confirmed on OS.

  17. Leaves us light unless they feel Stephens or Turnbull can be the 4th CB but equally they might want those guys out on loan getting regular games. Stephens would be useful to keep around as can play RB and midfield too.
  18. Pretty much, and takeover will rumble on. http://mobile.hullcitytigers.com//news/article/2016-17/takeover-update-3197377.aspx

    Claude Puel

Claude has done very well to avoid having to deal with any non club media so far. Better for him to settle before being fed to the journo mobs but also an indictment of how clubs in England are quite closed shops now.
  20. Not sure why anyone is putting Long out wide in a lineup. He is a striker. His run of good form coincided with playing his actual position. He isnt an effective wide player. If we go with one striker it is Long. Up to Austin to show he deserves a starting place. If we go for two up top then perhaps both could play.
  21. @ed_aarons: Told that Watford's bid for Sofiane #Boufal is way below Lille's valuation of 20m euros #wfc
  22. Think 6pm UK time. Will be interesting to see which of the young players make the cut for this trip as surely we won't want to take 30 players as some will need to start playing more than 45mins.
  23. Because I said Janssen, Wanyama and N'Koudou represented a good window so far for Spurs apparently. Mind you, that Dodd guy appears to be razor sharp so it must be true.
  24. Of course, there is always room for maneouvre. I still think we will bring an attacker in because as you say we have been linked with some since Redmond and the Club aren't stupid - they won't leave us short of goals and creativity because it would undermine the rest of the team which is looking strong.
