Meeting Thurs 23rd with Trust, SISA, Saveoursaints, 2 MPs, LM and MC
StuRomseySaint replied to derry's topic in The Saints
I'm sorry, it's all my fault the Saints Trust didn't work, and it is all my fault that Lowe came back and ruined the club. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Saints Trust have not actually represented their members on any single occasion and stayed quiet in the previous year leading up to administration. I take full responsibility. Sorry xx -
It is not knowledge, it is an opinion. I have another opinion.... that you would be quite boring to hold a conversation in a pub with. It's not knowledge though, just an informed opinion.

Lawrie Mac is still an abassador of the club is he not? And for being incharge of our finest day, he can walk where there fook he likes imo. Leon Crouch is the clubs biggest 'supporter' into the Corporate coffers, 2 boxes and tables in all of the other suites. Mike Richards and Guy Askham, have both donated over 1k, so if that gets them a free ticket, then who are we to complain?

I would say that Greater Manchester Police get the title as the most w*nkerish police, with the Midlands Police not far behind, with Heddlu in 3rd place.

I have the day booked off... show some f*cking pride you c*nts. I am off to the pub in a minute to get smashed on real English Ales. Keep St George in my heart, keep me English.

Have the Trust told us how many PAID UP, OPTED IN members they have got yet? Come on, I know members of their board post on here/will be reading this thread. Nice simple question that I have been asking for a year. HOW MANY? If you don't want to answer, then please can you give a reason why you won't release your figure of PAID UP,OPTED IN members? I'll tell you why, because the figure is less than 50, probably less than 20, and if the club and the media knew this, you lot wouldn't get your mugs on TV and in the papers. 'largest supporter group' ? My arse.... -
To be fair, I don't agree with the 'largest supporter groups' statement... A lad was p!ssed and acted up, one OB laid the boot in, big deal, happens all the time. Say what you like about our OB, they are one of the fairest sets around and won't nick you unless they really need to, and if they do, you have to do something seriously wrong for them to tag it as football related. I have a mate on a 3 year ban because he tried to get into Luton 'whilst under the influence of alcohol' and another who is now banned for getting thrown to the floor by OB at Derby and asking 'what the f*ck was that for' . Our police are not nearly as heavy handed as they are in other towns.

http://www.thisishampshire.net/news/4313071.Saints_fan_punched_by_police/ I see the 'largest supporters group' have issued a statement on behalf of their members on the said incident.

I could offer to drive people to the stadium for free.... we still wouldn't fill the ground. The people that are inside the stadium week in, week out are there because they want to be, not because the IOW Ferry doesn't drop them at the stadium doorstep. -
Swansea, 400 mile round trip to not see anything other than blue flashing lights 20 miles from Swansea, a cage, sh!t football and blue flashing lights again till 20 miles away from Swansea.

That bit confused me too.... I know the Itchen runs close to the stadium, but I could not help image a canal network, or maybe they are looking into a monorail ( which would be quite cool ) , maybe even an underground network? -
Gotta be Swansea for me....

I think the funniest thing was the bit about turning the Mick Channon Suite into a pub.... .... it's not like it is probably at the moment the Solents premier conferencing venue with a massive potential. How many Saints fans would say on a Tuesday night "eh up, let's pop down for a pint down the Micky Channon, Saints Trust are having a Quiz Night" Also, I am sure the overheads of Stadium security etc etc.... ... not to mention, having been someone who has experienced hospitality at St Marys on countless times, part of the exclusivity of corporate hospitality is having your own entrance. Might seem pedantic but I would not be chuffed if I had paid £150 to cram into a lift with loads of face-painted kids and sweaty old men.... How on earth they think the Mick Channon Suite has more potential as a Social Club than a Corporate venue, is beggars belief, especially when they have a perfectly good 'social club' at the back of the Kingsland Stand which if they wanted, could be opened 7 days a week ( not that it would work ) And for that reason..... I'm out! -

Come on Saints Trust.... come and tell us how many PAID UP, OPTED IN members you have, maybe then some people will be able to judge your credability.... I first asked for figures on your membership a year ago, it was also about a year ago that I pointed out the misleading 'members' total on your homepage. To this date, I have not recieved an answer and the misleading members figure has not been updated. During that year, how many times have you contacted your members? Come on Saints Trust, you claim to represent your members and not your individual opinions, how many times have you communicated with your members? Bottom line is, I would rather have Lowe back as Chairman and Branfoot as manager, than have any of the Saints Trust ( or any other allie ) running our club. -

Exactly, and I no I wouldn't be alone. We need change, a fresh start with fresh faces, front to back.... this is out chance to start again, I don't want any of the old usual suspects there for the ride. -

I have praised Derry, fair play to him. I don't want Saints Trust anywhere near my football club, that opinion will never change. -
Where is the fatty turd? Last I heard some of the yoof where going to give him a kicking, so he went running back to Salisbury and set up his own little firm for Salisbury City, promptly getting nicked at the pre-season friendly against us and was banned for 3 years.

No, people like Derry etc give up their time for that reason, Saints Trust et al give up their time to see if one day, they can be allowed to run a football club. -

I would also like to say fair play to Derry for putting time and effort into trying to make a difference. Nothing personal against SaveOurSaints, great initiative.... just a shame Saints Trust and SISA have bullied their way in there.... -

I am Weston, many things you can call me, inconsistent is not one of them! I have had my opinion since Day 1 with regards to the Trust, not once have I been proven wrong by them. -

Who the hell are you to tell me if I support the club or not? I am sure ( correct me if I am wrong ) , that you are involved in the meeting tommorow, which is obvious by the chip you have inherited on your shoulder. I would rather SFC are liquidated and start all over in the non-leagues than have the Saints Trust running the show..... doesn't mean I am not a Southampton supporter, it just means I won't set foot anywhere near St Marys if they were running it. -

Here is some of the business plan from the ST I assume... 1) 1. Electronic Transaction System - These cost about £500k to install ( if you are talking about swipe turnstiles as well ) 2) 2. Supporters Social Club - Turning the Mick Channon Suite into a Supporters Social Club? LMFAO, seriously, have a word.... There is already a Supporters Club at the back of the Kingsland. Do you honestly think that turning the Mick Channon Suite into a Social Club would work? Do you realise how much it gets used during the week for conferances, in the evenings for events etc. Do you think that people in the Terry Paine/Ted Bates/Matt Le Tiss Suites will be chuffed at sharing space with the 'common folk'? The most stupid idea I have ever heard in my life..... ever. -

StuRomseySaint replied to derry's topic in The Saints
Exactly, it is absolutely pathetic, seriously. For a start, the Saints Trust are STILL claiming to have 838 members, this has been the case for almost a year, when I first made them aware of the error on their site. If they are going to LIE about how many people they represent, then think of all the other lies that will come out if they are allowed anywhere near the club. If they are allowed to take a seat next season on the board, then I will be having some football time-out. S.I.S.A - There is no such f*cking organistion. Saveoursaints - Is not an organistion, just a name of a campaign. So that leaves us with Lawrie, Mary Corbett and 2 MP's? No thanks, out with the old and in with the new.
