Installment plans cost the club NOTHING

As I keep saying though... it's not finance in the way you imagine it or have experience in I imagine. It's premium collection & administration. There is a massive difference. -

Saints Trust or not... it is actually a well balanced article, which is a little bit more reserved that my direct accusations of the club ( which I stand by ). -
You gotta love this club.

If you want to put up an argument, can I suggest you go and speak to Zebra and Premium Credit and get a quote. On this subject I am the expert and you are the mong, I have the facts in front of me and you are simply guessing. And I am not 'glossing over' the defaulter subject. The finance company chases up the defaulters and reinstates the DD's etc etc... only when they fail to get the premiums for a second month do they hand it back to the club. I asked both about defaulters and both stated " The number of defaulters is minimal " , so excuse me if I believe them over you, you have absolutely no evidence to back up your claims. A season ticket is a positive debit, if that makes sense... people don't want to default because they want the season ticket and all the benefits that go with it. -

No, sorry, don't subscribe to that. David Luker would have made him aware of all the options. Even now, it's not too late to do anything about it, Zebra Finance have stated the can implement one in a matter of days... I have made the club aware of this. You are exactly right about them wanting people in paying on the day rather than discount season ticket holders. Costs to the fan will go up across the board... if you don't make a stand at the start then you are showing the club that you think it's acceptable. Payment plan or not, why on earth would the core fans want to pay more money? The fan friendly way to make more money is to get more people in the stadium, not rip off the loyal ones who have stuck with the club through thick and thin... that is just wrong. Oh and on a last point, I don't believe all the 'tough luck' or 'Cortese hasn't done anything wrong' posts on here are a true reflection of how people feel, even the people that posted them... more people seeing it as an opportunity to have a pop at one of the more controversial posters on here. If someone else posted this thread, the reaction would be different. -

FFS 10 pages on and we still have complete mongs that don't read all the posts. I have explained on a stupid amount of occasions on this thread how it costs NO money to the club. YOU ARE WRONG FFS what is it with some Saints fans, that even when someone has take the time to get the figures and all the terms and conditions, the FACTS, they STILL think they know better?! 1) It is NOT a credit facility. 2) The club recieves the FULL season ticket premium. 3) The fees are taken in Interest/Admin fees picked up by the customer. 4) There is ZERO administration by SFC... thats Premium/Zebras job and what they get their fees for. 5) Defaulters will be minimal and Zebra/Premium initially chase them up. 6) There is no extra cost to the MINIMAL amount of defaulters. -
The top 6 places next season are pretty much sorted, apart from maybe a surprise challenger from MK Dons or Colchester or Peterborough. Saints Charlton Sheff Weds Plymouth Swindon Huddersfield To say we will walk this league, will win it etc is almost Leeds-esque in arrogance. Nothing is for certain, and one thing is for certain, in the 25 years I have been supporting Saints, not matter who the manager/owner/players were, we have always managed to do things the hard way and lack consistancy. I will be keeping my feet on the ground.

Installment plans cost the club NOTHING
StuRomseySaint replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Saints
No, not at all. Because the club would have given us reasonable time to make other arrangements. Like I said, it's not the fact the plan has been removed that stinks ( even though it would still not be customer friendly ), it's the way it's been removed and the reasons why that that is wrong on so many levels. -

You KNOW that your daughters fees are due quarterly so save up on a monthly basis. Now I am sure you will try and flex your financial muscles regardless of what I said. But what if they suddenly sent you a letter tommorow stating they wanted the full years fees for next year upfront, and you had 30 days to find the money? ( I think I know the answer I will get, the fact you pay for your daughter to have private education suggests you are on a completely different income to thos who use the payment plan anyway ) -

StuRomseySaint replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Saints
Exactly, everyone manages their finances in different ways. The club have had an installment plan ever since we moved to St Marys. All clubs that have the deman for one, have an installment plan. I know this and had budgeted £70 a month ( to more than cover it ) to set up an installment plan. So I am not sure why he feels the need to look down at people... the clubs installment plans have always been less than £70 a month, if they were going to do away with it, I would have re-jigged my finances to allow for this... or even got a second job to cover it. The FACT is, regardless of the cost etc, the club have... Deliberately removed the plan with no notice to squeeze as many people out of getting a season ticket as possible. They have not sent out renewal packs... because they don't want people to have season tickets. They have given a 30 day window... because they don't want people to have season tickets. They have put the prices up 15%... because they don't want people to have season tickets. It has actually nothing to do with whether I can afford it or not the reason I am kicking off about it, up until a couple of days ago I had the money anyway, only an unexpected car bill has forced me out. I don't like the fact the club is exploiting the fans and forcing people to have to spend more money paying premium prices, using aggressive tactics. If people want to sit back and let the club use these tactics on fans, then they will get the club they deserve. We are what, 10 pages in, and not one person is yet to challenge me and offer me some constructive reason as to why the club is behaving in an acceptable way. All this thread is full of is people coming on here to say stop going on about it, which is pretty retarded for someone not only to open a thread on a subject they are not interested in, but also to feel the need to post on it. -
This is the funniest thread... ever. :-)

That would be quite cool to be fair, she could lie in state in the diary room.

I assume that going on strike means they will not get paid?

As Pilchards said, he has already made noises to that effect. I think Sheff Wednesday and Huddersfield are going to be very strong this year, and Plymouth will be there or there abouts. We have the best team in the league, and by some distance man for man... that's not to say we will win the league though. The pressure is on this season, if we are slow out the blocks I can see Pardew getting sacked and the whole season being compromised. Still.... COYR and all that. June 17th is when the excitement hits for me, when I can plan the next 9 months of my life.

Starts tonight. Another chance for everyone to post on here how sh!t it is, only for them to slip up and show that they watch it too. Apparantly when the winner is announced in the final, the best contestants from the last 10 years ( apart from Jade ) will go back into the house for another 2 weeks in a 'final of finals'

I am looking forward to the season, it's nice to start something as favourites. What worries me is the amount of people ( including the Chairman ) who think we have a god given right to win this league... we haven't.

Beat you.

Just been on Radio 1 news that all fake replica shirts are being seized arriving in to the country by the Counterfeit Crime Unit. Looks like you are going to get charged for your troubles as well. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/coventry_and_warwickshire/10268626.stm

If Nicky bothered to look then I think he will find my answer around somewhere. Alas, let's wait till the first set of accounts are published eh? -
No It's completely different as has been explained a million times on here. On another note... the club still haven't sent out renewal packs not conducted any advertising or marketing... Anyone would think they don't want people to know that the season tickets are on sale...
