Calling Rupert a moron
-
my point is did he have that hostile attitude from day one or did it develop because of the boards attitude to him. the board, imo, made little attempt to work with him and pushed him down the egm route
-
so how is it not strictly true they wanted to carry on exactly the same, ignoring someone who owned or controlled 16% plus of the share capital,
-
did he have that attitude in the early days or did that develop because he was ignored , as a player, by the cabal that had run SLH since 1997.
-
Surely Nick the other point is that RL and Gang effectively ignored MW when he bought his shares and continued to operate as they always had done. If they had involved him at the early stage , who knows where we would be now
-
FROM 3PM to 5pm never have , nor from 7.45pm to 9.35pm. time in between is difficult to believe anything other than we are a shambles, run by imcompetent idiots for the last 12 years
-
to old/ill to play but will definitely watch
-
i fear the game has changed so much that we will never on a regular basis hit those heights again
-
not sure if 4 is enough as the games will be running out
-
The level of support and passion of the crowds for those 2 games was higher than anything else this season ?
-
imo lose saturday and it will be all over
-
looks like someone already has. Where in Hampshire is Kate From?
-
DEFINITELY a different game, Man City was the first home game we played as a 1st division team , a bit of an anti climax because they had come up with us, Paine scored in that one too. The Charlton game was 30 April 1966 and the goal was definitely not a penalty
-
and that is what HURTS the most, we saw the club rise and fall in less than a life time.
-
Some one else mentioned the biggest roar at The Dell, for me it was in 1966 promotion season 0-0 against Charlton a couple of minutes left , had to win to stay in hunt for promotion. Chivers bursts down the right wing from the half way line, crosses into the box, Paine slides it into the net, the place went mad i was 12 and that noise has stayed with me for ever.
-
you little hint dropper , you
-
YOU may ,iyo, think that but i could not possibily comment.

interesting question i used to love it when we turned over the london clubs so Dellhurst park rates highly, as does beating Everton at The Dell when Pahars scored twice , the whole place was rocking. 30th April to 3rd May 1976 longest sustained high regarding football, although going to Anderlecht in 77 was a great few days. Fratton 84 for great satisfaction and long term memories. Newcastle at The Dell coming back from 2 down to win with 3 really late goals, floated home that night on the high. Two night games against Orient separated by 11 years, different emotions as only 12 for first one and 23 for second promotion. In 66 i thought i supported best club in world and still felt the same in 78, just able to fuel the high in 78 with booze.

think Toomers version above is about right
-
I am srtuggling to see how this could work, i am 55 years old , and recognize some of the names , may be able to pick a few out in a line up but know them NO. Again if they have been involved in some other initiatives they are hardly untainted with past events, and as you do not feel they would be interested my question is still unanswered who ?
-
So can someone start naming them ?
-
Perry Macmillan or Clive Foley or Chris Newman suspect we will end up with Sundance Scooby and Nineteen
-
Nineteen Canteen for telling Rupert to get rid of Jan
