Both have struggled to contain premiership attackers. The errors they made have been punished ruthlessly at that level. In the championship the attackers aren't as good and when they make an error it won't always see the ball end up in the back of the net. They may be good enough for the championship. Most CBs are pretty shit at that level. My major concern is whether they win enough headers. Pretty basic stuff, but essential.

I respect us for setting a suitably high transfer fee and also respect Liverpool for trying to get the best deal. Neither club can control the 'noise'. As we saw with the Mason Mount transfer, clubs can hold firm on the price on top quality players and the buying clubs will simply pay the money if they want the player. Chelsea to bid £60m. No messing about.
