that is the big difference. Players like Romeu and KWP, putting their foot on it, and picking a pass out of congested areas. No hoofing over your shoulder like Delap used to do. Genuine quality on the ball, and bravery as WGS used to say. Got to keep the ball and then you can break, which we did well. Romeu needs a new contract IMO.

yep. There was one challenge by Romeu from behind that could possibly have been a yellow. Perraud pulled Ronaldo back too. He let stuff go and booked players when they needed to, I assume Shaw got a booking for pulling Broja's shirt? If not, that was an error.

right now, I'm not fussed about Tino getting in the side. I've said all along that KWP is a better defender, and going forward KWP is as good. He is tremendous form. He was dribbling past people for fun today. Tino will have to wait for his chance. Finally we are back to the days of Clyne and Chambers, if not better.

no. other way round and KWP looked very comfortable there, dribbling for fun. Tino didn't have long, so I maybe am being a little harsh, but I'm not convinced he's got back to full match fitness yet. He doesnt look quite as sharp as he did. KWP starts every time.

long may it continue. We look like we have lost all fear and we have players willing to be brave on the ball, Romeu, KWP, Eli and JWP all looking very comfortable spending that extra few seconds on the ball rather than treating it like a hit cake. The ball sticks up front too.

Brilliant second half display. Dominated for long spells and were easily the better side in that half. So nervous at the end that we would be robbed. Slightly disappointed we didn't win. Romeu was immense, as were a lot of players. KWP is playing out of his skin. Honestly, with Broja up front, i can see us scoring against anyone. He is the best striker in the league right now. Scary what he brings to our game. Che alongside him creates a really powerful forward line. We're not perfect, but we are a million miles better than earlier in the season. Love it. Can't wait to watch us again.
