As soon as I read about a swap I just think 'bull****'. Never happens anymore, it's just red top fantasy football.

Good post. You and several other posters have hit the nail on the head. Puel is not completely to blame and often his tactics have helped us to better than the opponent not restrict us. It's more abut the lack of quality in forward areas holding us back. Also some of his rotation makes a lot of sense.
-
strange that they didn't show the earlier Tadic chance, I thought that was perhaps the best opportunity in the whole game.
-
we paid for Austin when we could have waited 5months and got him on a free. It depends what value the player can bring in that period to the buying club. That said I doubt anyone will buy apart from Koeman and Everton have youth coming through at RB.
-
thus you would imagine a deal is probably all in place between saints and that club and now we are just waiting for us to get the replacement sorted before we allow it to push through.
-
Have we twisted Wimmers agents arm yet?
-
There were a few poor decisions last night (perhaps not as many as some Saints fans are claiming), but his failure to give a yellow for a blatant obstruction that denied us getting between the lines and forming another decent counterattack was certainly one of them.No consistency at all there.

If you sat in row S, block 33 of the Kingsland, seat number approximately 850 something last night, can I just say that you are the most annoying Saints fan I have ever encountered. The non-stop, moaning and berating of your own players for the full ninety minutes almost drove me insane. I don't know if your wife has left you and you are now taking all your frustrations out on Redmond, but please consider giving your arsehole a break for two minutes by shutting the **** up. I know the game is all about opinions and I'm sure at least one of yours was remotely accurate and interesting, but please be assured that half the stuff you moan about is a complete load of ******** offered by someone with a limited understanding of the game and very blinkered preconceived opinions of players. What's more, every time you berate a Saints player you are just encouraging the sheep-like, even less qualified to provide an advisory comment mates sat next to you to offer their own `insightful' moans. I have to say I thought I was a moaning old bastard and this post probably confirms that, but you take things to a whole new level. Thank **** I don't have to sit near you every game. Sorry, had to get that out of the system.

im with you. He is weak as ****, incredibly slow across the ground and has almost no impact on the game. There were lots of bouncing balls to be contested and he lost all of them. Hojbjerg comes on, first bouncing ball and he wins it. As much as I want Classie to become this great marshalling midfielder, I just think we carry him in far too many games. Missed chances apart, He was the biggest disappointment for me. Just to counter my negativity, I'd like to say I was excited before the game, and I wasn't disappointed. Really enjoyed it.
-
You said he was "useless with the ball", nothing about not being creative, simply that he was "USELESS WITH THE BALL". Not a chance in hell anyone on here will talk me round to that way of thinking, because it's total and utter poppycock.
-
i know there is transfer fee inflation, but I simply don't see how Sahko can be worth more than Liverpool paid for him. I perhaps have not seen enough of him to make a good judgement, but he also looked very uncomfortable on the ball to me. Crucial position and one of the hardest to find truly top class players that can win headers and physical battles, but also have the pace and agility to stay with speedy tricky attackers.
-
Who on earth are you describing? Morgan? Blimey, the immaculate first touch, ability to play in the tightest of spaces and inch perfect cross field balls must have been a mirage. Opinions, opinions...
-
And to think some Saints fans didn't want him back at the £13m price yet Everton now seem happy to fork out quite a substantial amount more. Opinions, opinions... He was never going to come back and we were never going to try, but it is going to be painful watching him there, whilst we have Classie 'running' our midfield.
-
feels strange going into a semi final with so much negativity surrounding the team at the moment, but despite that I am genuinely excited. I'm hoping for some sort of Barry Horne last minute screamer type thing to occur over the course of the two legs and not an Andy Riche moment.
-
he's a Chelsea fan by the way. He just commentated on the Skates on the Quay radio...so still a skate I suppose ;-)
-
Yoshida headed goal. Great header.

Redmond best young player in the PL...apparently
Chez replied to sydneysaint17's topic in The Saints
Lots of talent and can make things happen, but at the moment he is struggling. One issues is that he has no left foot at all, so when played left wing he constantly stops and comes inside when he reaches the byeline. Opponents have spotted this and his unwillingness to use his swinger ever to keep fullbacks honest means they are there before he is when he does come inside. He seems to be the whipping boy. Things are not going well, but it's not all his fault. It's not as though Tadic or Long have pulled any trees up either. -
Kevin Wimmer.

Up to our eyeballs in debt?
-
It's the players that are lining their pockets. The wage bill keeps rising, which is fine if the team keep getting better. That said I struggle to get my head around our debt increasing. If we are not self sufficient now when will we ever be?
-
Really. Makes me angry just reading his name. Kin ****.
-
boy did we look toothless that day. I ****ing hate games up there. We are woeful year after year.
-
isnt rotation enabled by squad strength rather than forcing it?
-
Came for a couple of crosses and made it off his line out to the edge of his box a couple of times. Maybe he has turned a corner. We badly need our senior guys to,raise their game.
-
thanks, made me chuckle, much needed after the game today.
