  1. in what way?
  2. while I am at it, Huth is lauded on here, yet if Jos had made the mistakes he made today (gifting us at least one goal) he would have been crucified on here.
  3. MOTD didn't show the Stoke handball in the first half when Puncheon's pass was blatantly cut out by a hand
  4. if you see it from behind it comes out of nowhere.
  5. yep Davis was shocking for the equaliser. Anyone could have saved that.
  6. I notice Ageuro took Bassong to pieces today for his goal. Plenty on here stating how we should have signed him and plenty of others calling for Jos to be hung drawn and quartered when another Man City did similar to him earlier in the season. I'm not saying Bassong isn't decent, I'm really not sure, but perhaps Jos wasn't as bad as some liked to think. The fact is we, like all teams will concede goals especially against the top sides and CBs and keepers will be in the firing line. It doesn't mean they are **** if goals go in. Teams concede goals.
  7. 2 on 1 against Shaw led directly to the goal. Guly or whoever went missing, so yes he was spot in to moan at someone in midfield for not doing their job. Not sure Jos could be blamed. Great finish.
  8. I'm not a big fan and will take some convincing after some very, very average displays IMO, but having said that he's certainly improved in the last few weeks, getting tighter and actually making his presence felt. He's been one of our better players in the last three or four games. I slated him for being far too passive, so that tends to have the right effect! Fonte has been equally good mind you and Jos was outstanding today having been thrown in at the deep end after a long period without a game. As I said, he can play at this level and just needed to find his feet. Maybe I should have listened to myself when considering Yoshida. I have to say that distribution selection is terrible at times, although often its the midfield failing to provide him with an option. I still feel that our two original centre backs were unfairly lambasted by fans early on when in fact it was fullbacks and midfield that left them exposed. We've tightened up as a unit and the CB's have had far less to do (today apart). Arsenal will pose a different threat completely than the likes of Fulham and Sunderland.
  9. it means enjoy it. Enjoy the competition, enjoy the difficulty, enjoy gaining every single point.
  10. keep that in mind should Arsenal take us to pieces again.
  11. I thought they played with 3 at the back almost straight after the sending off.
  12. people forget that we have only just been promoted, yet we are more than competing at this level now, which we had no divine right to do so. We gave a well established Premiership side the run around for an hour today. Lots of positives if you want to see them. We are so much better organised than the WBA debacle. We need to keep improving. We should expect some defeats in the next few weeks against the better sides, but we might just surprise one or two too.
  13. **** the league, lets win the bloody FA cup.
  14. 1 point gained. Did brilliantly to forge a lead, but were unlucky to concede to a wonder strike. The ability to unlock teams is what gives is a great chance in games even if we go behind, Any point away from home is good and after a poor start to the season we've become a very competitive Premiership outfit. I think we will stay up, happily.
  15. I wouldn't worry about it, no doubt half the board will be blaming him despite the fact he saved Crouch's header at the end to earn us a point.
  16. no he wasn't, he should have saved that screamer from Jerome
  17. Gult had a good game. Not sure Davis was overly at fault for their goals. He flapped at a few, but equally came and got others. The tactics - 4-4-2, centre back at right back, Guly instead of Ramirez, Rodriguez instead of Ramirez, playing it long and down the channels were the reasons we were 3-1 up in the first place. Adkins tactics worked pretty well.
  18. Jos is that CB. Ricky is that front man. Not sure who that keeper is.
  19. Get players out the door would be my first priority. Millions of pounds we don't have are being wasted.
  20. giving away cheap free kicks kills you, so I don't want to see us diving into more tackles. Te fact we have so few yellows shows that sides are not getting behind us as much IMO. Morgan takes a yellow for the side when required, but we have been well organised meaning he hasn't had to as often as last season even.
  21. they looked relegation fodder at our place. They will go down IMO.
  22. I thought Jos had an outstanding game. I was told he wasn't up to Premiership football. Looked solid enough to me.
  23. you must have the shortest memory in the history of football. Gazza lost his confidence completely after some terrible performances and in the end was a complete liability. He was a busted flush. The Norwich game is right up there with Ian Andrews at QPR as one of the worst displays I have ever seen from a Saints keeper. Thank god NA dropped him. Davis struggled to deal with Stoke's giants. Check out their goals over the last few seasons and see how keepers struggled in exactly the same way.
  24. when we start letting games slip through our fingers at home, that's when 2005 really will be emulated. Enjoy the ride people, far better a relegation battle in the prem than a mid table place in the Championship or lower.
  25. I thought the subs were the right ones. If we'd brought attackers on instead if extra defenders I can't see how the pattern of the game would have changed, they would probably have scored still and Adkins would have been slated for not bringing on defenders
