is someone actually getting paid to think up these terrible half time games?
  3. last paymnet didn't go to old company though.
  4. can't see that beng true. If they were going to makle that distinction they would have made at prior to giving them the most recent payment, not after.
  5. oh **** my **** take about players washing kits seems to have caught on
  6. toast and jam. Nice.
  7. 900 seats for SMS went to general sale. http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Southampton-Tickets-On-General-Sale-3127.aspx
  8. our away form and certainly results have by and large has been average. To go up that is going to have to change starting on Saturday. We seemed to have turned a corner it terms of performance, get a win on Saturday and we'll wonder if anyone can stop us.
  9. wafer thin squad. An injury or two could hurt them a lot.
  10. brum are unstoppable since Mutch returned.
  11. A draw there from 2-0 down wouldn't do Blackpool's confidence any harm.
  12. Decent player Craig Davies. Thought he offered decent pace and power in the air when we played them at their place. He's started scoring again now too after bagging shed loads at Chessy.
  13. is it true that SFC stadum, training ground and club are owned by different companies? That's the line posted on twitter I'd like to refute if its not correct.
  14. I can't see him leaving, they haev money and they are flying. This is a shame as they are one of the few sides that have made us look poor and will be a real threat in the run in. Funny everyone moans about the Prem not looking at NPC managers when jobs come up, but now one has, how many CCC managers would actually say no, McDermott, Adkins, fat sam, Chris Houghton, Malky Mackay? I suppose its not exactly the greatest job in the world and any taker has almost no time in which to do it.
  15. perhaps the
  16. so he recommended them to CSI, but now is suggesting the £30k a week contracts from the previous regime was the current regimes undoing?
  17. that was the early payment, there is still the remaining bits of this years parachute isn't there?
  18. I guess he might be referring to the council who are owed £80k, but if HMRC demand 100% then the council will get 100% too. Does he think a deal can be done at a figure less than 100% or are HMRC indeed owed less than 25% of the debt?
  19. Abide with me at the cup final brought a tear to my eye

Piping up. Point to where I said either was crap? Richardson I like, he's been absolutely outstanding since he got here and I suggested earlier in the season that he could well be considered for player of the season. Perhaps you read my report of the Cardiff game where I described his crossing as woeful. It was and sometimes is. He either puts in the perfect cross or an absolute shocker, nothing inbetween. As for Fox, well for the thousandth time, he has great ability on the ball, but lacks pace, doesn't get to the byline much, seen him do it two or three times all season, nor does he get tight enough defensively - because he lacks pace and doesn't want to get caught behind. His crossing is also erratic. He's taken about 300 free kicks and corners FFS and we have one of the biggest sides in the league. You'd hope for one or two assists. I certainly don't think he's crap, but I do wonder about us spending £2m on a fullback without pace. Mind you, with it he'd be in the Prem, still might be I guess. "Less impressed every time I see him" was a relatively recent description of Fox, but since then I've given him 8 out of 10 for the last few games so things change. I'm happy with both, but no one is going to tell me their crossing is beyond criticism.
  21. all sounds great, but why the **** would Mokoena or BTH want to leave? They live here, they have a good job on a great wage and they won't go anywhere unless it is in their best interest. That is the problem. The skates quite simply can not shift these two **** players. The skates would have to pay something like £20k a week or probably more before any other club would think about signing them. Would you take Mokoena on £10k a week? He is terrible.
  22. maybe they are waiting for the 7 day appeal period to be up before taking them off?
  23. such as?
  24. after a pre-season he'll be in the Premiership. Can he cut it up there? Hope so.
  25. Pretty fed up of hearing the skates crying about the FL and the FAPPT. They all need to take a good look at this statement by Birch. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/local/pompey_could_have_more_points_deducted_1_3539161 Asked about the effectiveness of the Football League’s test for owners he said: ‘The Football League have a fit and proper test which has to be run on a series of objective measures rather than subjective measures because if they turn people down just on the subjective basis then they are going to be open to attack and trying to defend those claims is obviously going to be costly, that will then take funds away from clubs from the central distribution so it’s a bit of a difficult circle. ‘If they haven’t got a criminal record or they haven’t had any insolvencies, these are factual objective issues that people can look at and anything else is just subjective." This where the FL's responsibilities end. Beyond that it is up to the existing owners to act responsible and sell to the write person. I guess things unravel when you get a ****ish owner who then sells to an even bigger **** and so on.
