is there any reason whatsoever for having a membership? It was just another way of ripping off fans when the going was good. I am more interested in possible lifetime season tickets - you at least get something for your money. There is of course a major risk of the club going bust and losing your money, but that's the chance you take and would be reflected in the price.
-
they didn't have 13k crowds on their way down though. Once you have lost fans it is very very difficult to get them back even at lower prices.
-
name that price please.
-
In other words 2/3's of our existing season ticket holders need to renew at £300 to avoid defaulting on the mortgage. It could be a very close run thing.

Is it possible to pay on the day?

you are right there (doesn't mean Seijs is a poor player though) but Wotton is mostly to blame for that. In addition Wotte has clearly asked his fullbacks to play long down the line rather than short inside passes. In fact I would blame Wotte for the ugly style.
-
he was total garbage spending the entire time falling over, miscontrolling almost every single time and losing the ball time after time. I am amazed anyone would think otherwise.
-
differently from you?
-
wotton is a better centre back than Seijs? I've heard it all now.
-
**** off with your Wotton hoof ball down the channel ********. Get the ball down and play.

Can you explain the relevance to our situation?

when Pompey were going belly up a guy I know bought one of their lifetime season tickets. I think it was either £2k or £3k. That was about ten years ago and with season tickets £600+ now he's saved a fortune. Only a few hundred took the offer up - not sure how well advertised it was - but at the time they looked likely to go bust so it was a gamble. Our situation is not too disimilar.

It must be about a month or so until we start seeing ST renewal forms landing on our doorsteps, so next seasons pricing must be high on the agenda with a view to printing these forms. £320 for a season ticket based on a early bird discount has been mentioned, but after a yet another defeat I wondered how low ticket prices would have to be before you took the plunge. If you won't set foot in the ground till Lowe has gone that is up to you, but I'm more interested to hear from Saints fans that are considering renewing or are borderline. £299 perhaps which works out at exactly £13 a game. If they offered a lifetime season ticket for £5k would anyone go for it?

I'd agree with all of that except for Saga and Wotton's mark. Saga may of started brightly with a lovely turn and nutmeg, but having missed a decent chance in the first half he did absolutely nothing in the second half so a 4 or 5 would be in order. As for Wotton, jesus has anyone seen a player with less ability at SMS or indeed the Dell? How many times did he just hoof it absolutely anywhere? On one occasion he not only hoofed it when he had time to bring it down make a cup and tea...but his hoof was so bad it sliced into row Z. Terrible terrible player. Actually just noticed the 1 for Schneiderlin, that is harsh, he looked to get on it as soon as he got on the field and he looked totally up for the game IMO (which has not always been the case). Id give him a 6.

Just to be Controversial regarding Transfers out
Chez replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
If the right sort of offer had come in for Surman then SFC would have allowed him to leave. Everyone knows that. As much as Surman likes playing for his `local' side he has already suggested that it would be the right thing to do for his career to move to a Premiership side if the chance came along - in other words he wouldn't stick around here. Lallana has only ever made positive noises about staying. If a double your wages offer came in then I dare say he, like any other man, would have his head turned and we'd be saying goodbye. -
For starters how about Michael Kightly who signed for Wolves from Grays for absolute buttons. Oh hang on a minute, wasn't he also released by Steve `the talent spotter' Tilson at Southend.
-
but I thnk they charge bobbins for their season tickets so I wonder if they are that much better off? Mind you their rich board members have given gifts of interest free loans to clear their debt which has helped.
-
I'm delighted we have kept Surman and Lallana at least until the summer, I want to see both develop further here not anywhere else and think both have a major role to play if we are to survive. I'm less fussed at Skacel staying, if he had gone that would have freed up money for a couple of loans, but now we have him lets play him at left midfield even when Holmes returns.
-
I remember that game in 86. Bloody hell it was cold and only one team fancied it. I pitch like that would be perfect for our new found `combative' style.
-
they didn't look so good when that huge gap opened down the middle for Swansea to score their first.
-
Lowe wasn't here when he ****ed off to Hertha though was he. Boy you'd never guess Skacel was a fans favourite would you.
-
some of those quotes from Southend fans remind me of the quotes from Luton fans when we took Perry off their hands. I know many on here rate Perry (not me actually) so perhaps that will make you feel better. I'm a little concerned though as everything Millwall/Leicester fans said about Smith was right and more often than not the fans know when players are really good or really ****e.
-
so not only have we signed a centre back but we have also confirmed that we won't be going into adminstration before the season ends. Great news.
-
but where does it leave us financially now that we have failed to shift Euell, Skacel and Saga nor got reasonable bids for Dyer, Surman, Kelvin or Lallana.
-
who cares. I don't want to see either of his feet in the first team.
