  1. Would be very odd to be this far advanced, given no certainty on new manager yet
  2. That could be it. Even if he is not wanted long term, a new short-ish contract means we protect a decent transfer fee which has to be at risk as the season ticks along. As per Evra as Utd, signed a new deal but then left shortly after. So its in the clubs interest whatever the long term plan for JC
  3. Great finish, played well 2nd half and unlucky not to have another at least. Good man
  4. That would be a first in this country
  5. Problem is a pointless thread where we can speculate endlessly but will not know until 2 sept.
  6. Spot on. Coles was woeful, Will Smith superb. The rest of it, well thats how it goes sometimes. Agree with you it was an excellent day, I thought that Edgbaston made a great effort to make the day enjoyable for the whole 10 hours. Have already decided to go again next year. Tickets cheaper than watching an England Test or ODI and it was much better entertainment
  7. Er, i was too busy being there, supporting them, having been in Brum from Fri lunchtime until now and drinking throughout. Was too gutted after we went out and then too hammered to type. Sorry
  8. Far few of us at Edgbaston to support hants at the cricket. Gutted to miss first game but a cricket final wins today
  9. Son has now had his birthday presents and so the X3 and X1 have been in action. The X3 packs some serious punch and amazing bass. Very smart devices, son is very happy indeed and so am I , having paid only £89 for the X3 and £30 for the X1
  10. Just back from majorca. Did not think I would be excited about a weekend in Birmingham but roll on!
  11. Should be fine for a win for us. Surrey look like winning so we need to win
  12. This. The lesser Neville is a waste of pundit space
  13. Agreed, its just supply and demand. We need a striker, they dont need to sell. Same process as for our sales; player wants to leave, club dont really want or need to sell him, so only agree if they get a "fair price" plus at least 25% more
  14. Would much rather have Ings for £10m. Lets hope Hull have more sense than to sell
  15. Would love that to be wrong but you are likely to be spot on. Should have signed Ings by now.
  16. RK thinks: would Lambert have done that? KL: nah, he would be too knackered to come back and defend 2nd half. Should have kept him
  17. Calling Ings, calling Ings
  18. Not all that different to the reports of Tadic considering other moves, before he signed for us
  19. Moaners will always find reason to moan! Spending decent money to sign a very decent, young, english keeper. Not a loan, not really a gamble (coach knows him well), not derisory. Ok so maybe slightly high price but I am pretty sure we achieved that with Shaw et al
  20. Already covered last night on the rumours thread. WUM
  21. All good except he said that MS will be at the club on 1 September
  22. Whereabouts in Majorca? I am there too, near pollensa
  23. How did NC tell us he was going to achieve his ambition of winning the league?
  24. At least you are consistent. You obviously dont understand that the club has other income streams or that the transfer window is not shut
  25. Ok you avoid the question and carry on being deliberately obtuse.
