Sorry, didn't word my post clearly enough cos I completely agree with you. What I meant was, I would have predicted we would have got something from today - rather than meaning we deserved something (we clearly did not)
-
We SHOULD have got something from today IMO.....
-
The pessimist in me says the above......
-
Isnt it odd how one weekend can change your perspective entirely? Just found myself staring at our fixtures and the WH fixtures without even noticing Reading in the middle..... Yes I would love to win the league, but I am suddenly only worrying about top two. All this on a day where the gap between us and third is the same as it was before this weekend....?! The mind of a football fan eh??!!?!

TBF that cross hit what can only be described as a hill-ock and it was clear on the replays. Lallana did not play well at all, but it is harsh to blame him for that miss IMO
-
Worried........
-
I am sure Tony L has been back a few times to express best wishes etc......thank **** we ended up where we are today!
-
I think, to be honest, you have shown a pretty decent argument against my concerns here! I think pessimism was rather getting the better of me. For some reason, my mind keeps blocking out the fact that we are still 6 points clear of WHU and 5 clear of Reading. And you are quite right - they would both kill to be in our position. Reminder to self - keep calm and carry on!

I was really hoping for a Posh win last night. I am now worried. The most worried I have been for a number of weeks. I am sure our run in looked much easier a few weeks ago. Just hope that Reading and West Ham draw on sat and then we do the business at Blackpool. I do not like the fact that we will know the result of their game before we kick off. PRESSURE!!!

Bursting with pride tonight, and not because we played well. Love you Saints!!
-
So many I want to quote from the above, but this sums up my feelings. Make no mistake, this was one ****ing HUGE win!!
-
I was sat in the Shed End for that game (was it maybe 2002???), with my entire family-in-law who all support Chelsea. They were quiet on the way home that day...........

Blimey, never knew that. Phil Dowd will be embarrassed when he sees relays. If he bothers......
-
How come we can't appeal that??
-
Tbf where did Lallana go??
-
Very good point gained tonight. Odd performance though. Next time, Rickie, shoot ffs!
-
Yep, remember that one too!! (just) Think it was either the first or second Saints match I saw (I was only six FFS)

"Other results went for us with notably West Ham getting trounced 5-1 by a very poor Ipswich side. I bet Paul Jewell went and starred in his own video after that one" Still laughing at that!! Cheers BS!

David Cameron mentions Saints v Pompey rivalry in the house today.
dan17 replied to CLOTH EARS's topic in The Saints
Fear not David - it isn't just you!! I genuinely have no idea how they havent been deducted points. Thing is, I really don't think they are going to be in the future either....WTF????? -
