TBF I get the point that our kids shirts have the same sponsor as Brentford first team..That is a bit odd IMO. My lad (although not a kid anymore at 20) when he was young, would happily have me pay more for a shirt without a sponsor as more often than not it spoils the kit! How much will they be paying to have their name on a kit worn only by a few thousand (at most) kids and never in a game?

I am pleased for him, always liked him as Captain. Always seemed to care and was at the heart of the team when we had some great times.

The three promoted teams? I think it will be a tough one next year, we need a good start as I am not sure we have the character to pull ourselves out of the bottom three if we start badly.

It depends when you grew up I suppose, but to me Saints aren't traditional red and white stripes at all. Being born in late 69, my first home kit really was the FA cup year- Ted McDougal, thick and thin stripes, then in the eighties we never had stripes at all- well not until the very end of the decade- but I did like that kit! 🙂 So I always view a traditional red and white stripe as a variation of our red and white theme rather than the traditional kit.

I think we will have to agree to disagree..I think there is a massive gap in income, spending and wages between the top 6 and the rest. Granted their is a big big gap between Spurs and the rest, and if Arsenal aren't careful they could fall behind but they have won the FA cup more than anyone recently still..Any club, even Everton, who bloody's their noses by winning a cup deserve every credit for doing the near impossible IMO!

TBF they are massively punching above their weight then.. To be where they are in the table and win a cup when those top six are spending even "just" £57 million more a year!

You are right..Liverpool's wage bill is like £300m a year.. Net spend surely is a red herring? Players don't go to Man City due to net spend they go for £500,000 a week!

You do realise Arsenal have one of the biggest wage bills in the league? They spend something like £80m more a year than a team like Leicester?

Its only the third time in something like 25 years that one of the big six haven't won the FA cup, I think, so no matter how much they have spent, it's quite an achievement.

I would rather anyone win than one of the "big 6".. Don't forget it was a few short weeks ago that Chelsea were looking to rip football up as we know it so that a Leicester or Southampton could never win a trophy again!

All this VAR is rubbish stuff, has just been wiped out IMO.. It was all worth it to see that Chelsea goal ruled out!

I know someone who works at another club (nowhere near the premier league) who have just signed with Hummel. He said the proposed kit designs even for their club that they have been shown are really good. Some were new designs but with a mix of retro stuff as well. He was really, really impressed with Hummel's team and the effort they are making to produce something that meets the clubs aspirations. I am hopeful Hummel will be a really good partner!

I am not sure how many new fans a new badge will bring? I assume that's the point of changing it? Remember when Royal Mail changed their name to Consignia, that seemed like a great idea to someone to I suppose? It fix if why broken ain't it?

Errrr That's a bit different...No one got up today and thought..I am going to OT to nick a corner flag during a televised game! They may have turned up for chaos agreed but you said some went to get int he stadium and some went to nick a corner flag...That's clearly not right...Just admit it!

I saw the kill the bill protest yesterday and they had flags for everything..There were people walking beside each other with opposing views on their placards....SO TBF I think he might be right, now when there is a protest everyone just turns up..grabs the last banner or placard they used for whatever woke/unwoke protest they attended and just enjoy being there!

I don't think thats right..They werent there because they wanted to get in the stadium or steal a corner flag..They took the opportunity to do so but it wasn't the reason they were there?

This thread has made me realise I have never met anyone who had exactly the same view on every single subject that i have. Therefore everyone else is a right twat.

Perhaps they need to play all the games in secret, record them then release the whole season as a boxset all at once?

it feels like films are getting longer rather than shorter in recent years, there appear to be far more 3 hour plus films than I remember previously, and yet they seem to grab the younger audience still? Perhaps it isn't about length, its about the content?
