You are almost certainly right, as Crouch is going for blood, and Dennis and the Radio Hampshire programme are generally being sympathetic with his views. That's true, and that is what Mark Dennis finds staggering. He feels Rupert is too quick to release players, and doesn't put up enough fight. Rupert on after adverts.

What I've heard from Rupert so far, and what Dennis has commented on, is that Rupert has said that players who get a better deal from elsewhere will be allowed to go. We will not stand in their way, even though we would like them to stay. That is typical Rupert speak. He is saying it as he sees it. There's nothing wrong with that statement, but the attitude is completely wrong. If he'd said Saints would fight tooth and nail to keep players, but ultimately, if they wanted to leave, we'd make sure we got the very most for them... then I don't think he'd receive much criticism. But sadly, Rupert doesn't exhibit enough passion for a significant amount of fans. Rupert does HOPE to keep the present players though.
