Robbie - I don't think ther eis much chance of him ever being a hero. I heard some interesting stuff yesterday from someone who "knows" Wilde very well and was on the inside when he was Chairman. Firstly there was that club phtotographer who was sacked after the away match at Sunderland. He and Wilde were in the hotel bar drinking well into the small hours and Wilde asked him if he liked working for SFC. He said he did but the recent arrival of Andy Oldknow had made life a bit unpleasant for the employees. Wilde said leave it to me I will sort it. On the Monday Wilde went into Hone's office to say that Oldknow was upsetting the staff. Hone basically told Wilde to get on his bike, called the young lad in and sacked him saying if he dared take it to tribunal "the whole might and legal power of Southampton FC would come down on him". Wilde never uttered another word of protest about the matter. When Wilde resigned I was convinced that the execs "had something on him" and my source is equally convinced. As we know Wilde allegedly liked a bit of a salacious night out and once took the players to a Bournemouth strip club. Some of the younger players couldn't get in so he rounded them all up and took them to another similar club in Portsmouth. Hone often boasted that he knew everything Wilde was up to, how much he was drinking and who he was with wherever in the World he was. On the day before Wilde resigned he was acting normally, full of confidence and bravado and yet 24 hours later, when his resignation was announced he was virtually a broken man. My source saw Wilde 5 minutes after the announcement and Wilde was a completely changed character saying things "well I needed more time at home etc etc". This made my source very suspicious especially as he was rarely at the club and often missed board meetings and the like. There is no doubt there is more to Wilde than meets the eye but one thing is for certain he has no back bone and cannot be trusted. As kingmaker he holds the future of our club in his hands and he must be made, by hook or by crook, to concede power to people who will look after this club in a proper fashion.

I'm off to bed now - but I have just had an interesting conversation re Wilde and will post tomorrow. Apologies but when I post I would rather do it with a clear head. Suffice to say this bloke is an absolute disgrace... not only to SFC but mankind.

If saints were a tv show what would it be called?

Tomorrows World? Question Time? All our Yesterdays! Candid Camera? "It will be alright on the night" One foot in the grave - probably my favourite. -
Not often your posts make me smile but I appreciate your first sentence- classic

Absolutely nauseous

Again Ron - thanks. I did not post it willy nilly rest assured. Yes politics comes into it but I was posting something factual ie he was there. But I hear what you say, nevertheless. Some times it is a hard call what to say and what not.
-
Solid news? A chance would be a fine thing. Appreciate where you are coming from though. I was rung and asked to post this bit of factual news, and did it. Everyone must draw their own conclusions as must I. I know no more apart from the fact he was there and JP has gone.
-
The answer to your first question is a massive NO. I think a lot more will come out next week.
-
I have it on very good authority. Could JP's departure and his presence be related? I honestly know no more but if I was a betting man I would hazard a guess it was.
-
Sometimes Steve you try to be too clever.
-
I would rather have kept JP on to be honest. I have a really bad feel about Wotte.
-
IMO this is actually bad news because Wotte will be an even bigger disaster. Trust me, he has a reputation that is disturbing and the talk of the football world - give me JP anytime.
-
If Wotte gets the job full-time it will be an even worse scenario than JP. He is despised by the players and has alleged serious personal flaws from what I am hearing from those in a position to know.
-
Surely if we lose at Norwich Jan will be sacked.

Good question and normally I would say yes but the main person we need to be hailing a taxi out of SMS is Lowe and removing JP will just be another "paper over the cracks" exercise. Probably Wotte (the ladies man) will take over -

Steve you are right. Wilde remains the kingmaker, the worrying thing is he is starting to feel the heat - leaving 20 mins before the end of the game shows he is rattled and I gather Lowe hardly bothers talking to him now. If he performs one more U turn our club could yet be saved. -
This is my last post on this guy. He might allegedly share a recreational hobby with our old friend AO. Now this could be muck spreading of the most outrageous but the person who told me is not the sort to do that. Is it true? I don't know, but my source, as I said is not prone to be political or vindictive. I do think a statement from the club telling us this person's role is now overdue.
-
I am hearing he is making himself pretty unpopular in away dressing rooms with some boorish behaviour. Mind you I heard some other pretty shocking stuff from a very credible source today that really has me worried. Unfortunately a lot of it is libellous so I'll keep it to myself (heard from more than one source) but I heard that JP has not conducted a pre-match or HT team talk for some while. No prizes for guessing who is. If anyone knows some current players I would be grateful if this could be verified?

Good story, Richard - let's hope you get to remind Ron in person.

In laymans terms, what will administration mean?
Fitzhugh Fella replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I have it on good authority that if we do go into administration then Lowe and a few of his friends will buy Southampton FC, lock, stock and barrel. -

Sorry "shame" was probably the wrong word - should have used "rallied" or something similar. It was an early morning post. -

Steve, with respect, should The Trust not be asking us? This seems to me to be the problem with the Trust - they are like rabbits in headlights, seemingly frozen by every disaster that comes along. Why haven't they organised anything? Why haven't they issued a statement? If fans on forums can get their act together why can't they? The longer the silence goes on the more I am sensing they are either incapable or do not want to question the current goings on. -

I am normally not keen on premeditated demos, preferring the instantaneous ones which imo carry more passion and feeling, however I sense this one will have the neccesary emotion and gravitas which is needed to convince onlookers and media of the depth of feeling. Due to wife working/childcare reasons I was not going to go to the Swansea match but I am now going to make the effort to be there to show that I care about the club and can devote just a very small part of my life to make a statement. If everyone can just make a small effort by turning up it will show the world at large that this club still means something to the inhabitants/supporters of Southampton. Yes not everyone there will want Crouch back, I understand that, but it is time there is a large massive message sent that the fans are not happy with the current leadership/direction. Most people in public life sooner or later have to listen to public opinion and act accordingly. Rupert Lowe is a rare breed as he does not fit into that category. This demostration for me is an attempt to finally convince him that he simply HAS to listen. The more fair-minded, reasonable and non-violent fans that turn out that day will aid the cause. We are often accused of being cyber warriors on this forum and there is a lot of rhetoric and hot air flying around. I appeal to every fan on here to put all the bickering behind us and make the effort to turn up to show firstly we all care and secondly to ask for a change of direction before it is too late. Hope to see you all there - anyone gonna bring a portable bbq?
