For me it's just another conspiracy theory. Adkins likes making changes around the 75 min mark, a few times it's been Guly. Mayuka has come on around the 75 min mark twice, is Adkins forced to play him too?

Yes I agree that Adkins is a nice, intelligent man. I've also already said that Adkins, in an Adkins way, has talked about the deterioration of his relationship with NC. However, he couldn't have been any clearer when he said he is in charge of the team/tactics etc. Do you honestly believe he is forced to play Guly?

So you're going to ignore what Adkins says publicly to believe rumours from "sources". Like I said, you're picking and choosing what you want to believe. I don't disbelive Adkins and NC have a bad relationship, Adkins pretty much alluded to this recently in an interview. As for the team/formation stuff, it still seems pretty far fetched to me.

Agreed and that's why some people won't be too disappointed if Adkins goes, as long as someone with a bit of pedigree replaces him. A lot of people said we bullied our way through two divisions and they're not far from the truth. We've be found wanting this season when it's come to tactics, formation and team selection - all of which Adkins openly says are down to him.

TBF there's a difference between wanting someone out and not being disappointed that they've gone. I wasn't campaigning for him to be sacked but likewise I really wasn't bothered he got the boot. He was a one trick pony and if Lallana and/or Lambert weren't playing he didn't have a plan B. I'm amazed he's done so well at Newcastle, mind you they must have the best scouts in the Premier League.

I don't believe the rumours of people telling Adkins who to pick. The 4-3-3 rumour was plausible, but seeing as we haven't played 4-3-3 in nearly half our games now I think that one can be put to bed. The point I was trying to make is that if we appoint a strong manager then (hopefully) the unsubstantiated rumours of meddling might die down a bit. If the rumours of meddling do turn out to be true I'll hold my hands up and admit I'm wrong. I'll lose all respect for Adkins though, as he said himself he's responsible for picking the team and formation.

I agree. I don't think he'd put up with any meddling either.
