You'll find true moral indignation in here from people who feel their sense of justice violated by Pompey. But also hatred, disbelief, excitement, superiority, curiosity etc. We come in all sorts and sizes And notice that you are not banned on sight in here for being a rival fan. However icy the tone may be, you've had a list of serious responses to your previous posting... That's a darn sight better than the shoot first ask questions later policy on POL if you ask me... As for the comparison, yes the immediate reaction may be similar, but as pointed out we have reason to suspect that we can afford these players whereas it was obvious that there was a mismatch between income and expenses for PFC leading up to the 2008 squad. Heck, even Claridge admits this was the case.

*Halo* - that was an epic rant. I bow down in admiration. I hope it was as therapeutic as it looks

What was our attendance in our first home game in L1 and what did we average in our two season in that league?
-
Was this posted here before? http://www.twohundredpercent.net/?p=20187 Also I think we shouldn't so hastily dismiss the point PES is making. What are our options of evaluting the economical situation of SFC? Not for this thread, I know, but I'd love to discuss it and perhaps learn a little more...

Good spot - a very good read which can't be dismissed as just rivalry from jealous Saints fans...
-
Which is why we can protest when people try to compare our situation with Pompey's. There's nothing similar except the 'admin' label...
-
We got -10 for going into admin, but as Saint Markus paid off the debts, there was no need for a CVA afair. The delightful details of this was covered in this thread recently. Basically, we were hit by new stadium and relegation, while the banks had to tighten their purses. Bad luck, but thanks to Markus, we can hold our heads high - we took our medicine, player the kids, got our relegations, but we have left no unpaid debt in our trail...

Talk about censorship by omission ... Or 'how to polish a turd'

How magmanimous of you

Appy keeping these players waiting can only mean one thing: he misread the memo to play a blinder and decided to blind a player instead... There, I've done it again...

Never a dull moment in here
-
They played their strongest team
-
A very good appetizer for the season ahead - thanks!
-
Sorry but it's out of our hands!!!
-
My answer, Jordan, would be Harry Redknapp. When on trial, he blamed dyslexia and his dog and got away with it. He played a blinder there!

Do we have a "Nemo" in the house?

It's a useless Q&A: a mixture of Saints fans on the p!sstake and clueless Pompey fans being moderated by a partisan parrot who is not interested in giving real/useful/informative answers, just to paint everything rosy, bash Chinny and big up the PST.
-
Ok, now they start talking about small creditors not being paid etc., but only to portray Chinny as the villain. Sorry chaps, if you think that is wrong, then the club must redeem those actions going forward instead of just shrugging their shoulders and say: "that was Chinny's fault, now let's concentrate on a promotion warchest for the PST"...
-
I'm talking to a Danish Pompey supporter and he is also rejoicing today! The two options (liquidation or PST) are both preferred over Chinny... That said, the PST ought to channel their energy and money into a phoenix club, as the battered and beaten club they are looking at now, still has too much luggage for them to carry forwards...

"I wantssss my four million poundssss player budgetssss. Stupidss Hongss Kongsssss hasss it"
-
Earlier today, I was thinking the very same think albeit from a slightly different angle - the MP (?) claimed that they constituted a whopping £300M a year, but the £150M+ debt they have racked up have primarily gone from taxpayers in general but a healthy portion also from local business. And as you say, the main recipients have been "players, agents, Storrie, Harry and Mad Milan". That's the bottom line for this club. Over the past years an insane amount of money has been pumped out of their local businesses and into the pockets of "high net worth individuals" to make sure that the city had a competitive club. Now you're in for a very different understanding of competitiveness, chaps. Enjoy. We've been there...

Good spot - you've confirmed Alright Dave's suspicion from here: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga&p=1437813#post1437813 Nice to know that we're still on top of things

What have those poor women done to you?! The thought of Hope Solo in a Pompey shirt is even more revolting than the thought of half-time entertainment at St.Mary's being an artistic rendition of 'Oh When The Saints' sung by Russell Brand...
