Saints in Iceland/Denmark

3rd (boy) now external, so realistically I'm primarily a family man in the coming months (read: life) ;-) Still, let's keep the kettle boiling at least to get an overview of Danish Saints! -

Quick search resulted in this little baby with 500.000+ posts: http://forum.phun.org/showthread.php?t=302569&page=33727 Still some way to go for us nutjobs, but fortunately we have a muse that will keep us inspired for years to come...

You, sir, have majored in this subject with top marks. You hold a 'Master of PTS' from the nutjob academy. Go forth and enlighten the masses!

The first one featured an exclusive interview with Truckasaurus

No plucky Pompey, no bestest fans, no pack the park - all of that usual bullsh*t was mercifully left out of that article. Nice read!

Oh, I see what you wet there...

Displaying that I am even more ignorant than yourself, if "anything is better than nothing" is the case, then why would anyone ever offer more than 1p? Edit: Pah, Torres to the resque

Amazing piece of propaganda rather unelegantly trying to deny the existence of that HUGE elephant in the middle of the room called 'economical chaos'. Dear 'Appy, you can line up as many players as you want and complain about it when they sign elsewhere, but that doesn't change reality. I could complain that while I had a particularly nasty pimple Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johannson, and a host of super models were all seeing other guys, that doesn't mean they'll be queuing up once my face is back to normal (PS. Once a goldmine has been exhausted, people still keep coming back in hope of one more lucky shot. That's why the agents keep calling you, Appy - they're desperate for one more of those fabled Pompey contracts that will go down in agent folklore as a true jackpot.)

I have to remember reading this subforum - sorry for the delayed reply I'd defo come to Cph if time allows it (PhD student with 2 small kids and a third on the way in a few weeks :s) - would be great fun to see the match with fellow fans. As stated above, I only know of Saints fans in Aalborg and Århus, but maybe this thread will unearth others? -
Gahhh... ultimate noOb mistake on my behalf reading SAF as Sir Alex Ferguson!
-
Yesterday I'm quite sure I saw a tweet from him, that is now gone. It read something along the lines of "Back in Southampton and already bored after 5 minutes". He just wants to play footy - spending your footballing career sitting in the stands is just not very satisfactory regardless of the wages...

Indeed: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/8703840/Top-10-debuts-in-football-to-rival-Manchester-Citys-Sergio-Agueros.html What will the headlines be when Saints start at the Etihad? "Mercurial Lambert Tears Reigning Champs A New One"?
-
Aren't we building a new one?!
-
That was the "welcome to the Premier League Mr. Aguero" show, right?
-
I'll buy you a beer next time you're in Aalborg!
-
That's a really nice touch - thanks! Any chance you'll be updating it as the season rolls on?
-
Sunday 19th of May we will relegate stoke to the NpC.

There are a few of us. I know of one in Århus and one in Aalborg - I'm further north of Aalborg. Where are you living? -
I wish someone could be arsed to dig out the quotes from January, when the brave players didn't jump ship but stayed on to fight for Pompey. Same players, same contracts, new tune from the supporters... Edit: and as usual the nutjobs called it correctly back then that Pompey would rue not making better use of the transfer window...

I'm well aware it's a joke, but imagine how TB would feel if someone did physically harm TBH, Kanu or other players that have publicly been identified as those who stand in the way of a Chanrai takeover? Their only crime has been signing an inflated contract and it that situation the blame must lie at the feet of those who offered the contract. So the plucky bestest's heroes are now suddenly villains that should donate their remaining wages to BC - or be driven out of town with pitchforks and torches...

Which would be a perfectly fine example of selling your future to avoid a points penalty now. It's been described by several posters how these future payments can only ensure that they won't even get a clean slate this time round...
-
Yeah, makes sense. Wonderful analogy too

Until the Football League can see some sort of movement in terms of players leaving, they will not allow us to sign anyone. ‘I think once you get two or three out of the door you have got a good case to go to the Football League to ask if they can let us start doing one or two deals. Doesn't sound like someone only thinking of what's best for the creditors - has TB been sucked in too?

Kjær can be quite a player but he's gone off the boil since coming to Wolfsburg. His performances are too unstable and I wager he would cost us a penalty every other game in the EPL...
