This is indeed how it was done in the NASL in the days of Pele, Beckenbauer, Alberto, Chinaglia etc at NY Cosmos - apparently the players quite liked it!

I know it's a stupid question because there's no real choice - I was just thinking about it when I saw an ad for the European League finals. It's the much frowned upon little brother of the Champions League, but for the teams in the competition it's a great honour to win it! And just because you're not Barca or Man U you should still celebrate when winning one of the challenges in front of you. And as such, winning the JPT when in League One was a great triumph for us whatever PL snobs may say...

You're conveniently omitting that the Academy has delivered Walcott (23), Bale (22) and Oxo (18 ) who have all been sold as a result of their succes with the team. Our expectations are extremely high if we are not content with "only" having Ward-Prowse, Shaw, Reeves and Martin break through and with Hoskins and others still to fulfil their potential...

He has been used at right midfield, forward and in the tip of the diamond midfield. Always great to have versatile players in the squad even though their problem often is that they are up against specialists for every position in the lineup. He'll have a part to play in the PL.
