Jeremy Wilson's pieces always read like they have been dictated by the club over the phone, and then he adds a few bits to make it sound like he has written it without their blessing or to 'distance' himself from the bloke at the other end of the line.

Hughes also said that the changes today are as a result of the poor run. uh?
-
'I sense there's a bit of anger in the players now, that we need to sort this out' - Hughes at the presser, on the poor run. Would be good if he could do something about this too

Koeman - 'yes, I'll come back, but only if that tit Reed isn't there'
-
It's precisely what it does suggest, that the search has 'begun'.
-
I wonder if this is well advanced, and we've only announced it now because the new man (presumably) has agreed to join?

Crikey. A bit of the tumour cut out. Sorry, that might be a bit strong. But hope it does something to lift the club.
-
Cryptic. Do you mean the club met a prospective new manager before the City game? Or did the players have a clear the air meeting with Hughes? Or was there a Gao meeting with Reed? I do hope things are in train. And that the changes made are not just cosmetic. Could we have a new captain? I do hope so and that it’s Hoj Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The huge contract payment is still small beer when compared to the loss of revenue that will result from relegation. Parachutes only get you to the ground.

Sack Hughes and coaches. Appoint Allardyce to end of season (before someone else does, like Fulham/anyone else in trouble). Concurrently scout out an up and coming manager to learn from him and take over next season (Jaidi?). We retain our prem status. Gao keeps his means of paying off his debts with TV money etc rather than parachute payments, perhaps even invests in local land to build homes/leisure/football stadium. Get rid of deadwood. Invest in the youth/decent scouting/ getting team spirit above mercenaries. This is the way to go for a club like ours in a parlous situation like ours. Most other ways lead to relegation and staying in lower leagues for a long time.

I want us to win but that the decision is made already and Hughes is gone with a new man and new coaching regime set to take over from the muppets we have at the moment immediately. But i expect we will just be 'taking positives' out of a 0-2 home loss. And Hughes will carry on with his progressive style of non-management. What does he ACTUALLY do?

Yes. That's right. Or Pep. About as likely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fat Sam's failures include keeping West Ham and Everton up, tunring around an inexorable slide. Not sure we can be choosy, tbh Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
