  2. Perhaps he's more suited to setting teams up to win/get results away than home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Wow. Amazing news if true that we can hang on to VVD. Immediately makes our prospects about twice as good for next season, and in terms of holding onto others

This is true. Imagine what it must be like to be on the end of a team talk.

Correct. Much better than 'possibilities' after losing 4 in a row.

I didn't "fully expect it". That's you making things up. Merely pointing out we're on the wane. Hope that 'fu cking' helps. Thanks for your English recommendations. Mine is that 'god' usually has a capital 'g'. Also, don't use you followed by you. Poor choice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

High water marks can sometimes be superseded by the next high water mark. That's the thing about water marks. Arf

    Ranieri?!!!

Leicester's success also owed a fair bit to having Kante, who is doing precisely the same thing for Chelsea.

    Ranieri?!!!

At least his pressers would be a bit more fun. Sorry, fun.

    Ranieri?!!!

Begs the question why we appointed a duff one then

I hope not. Nice guy and all that, but shouldn't be manager of the first team now. Maybe coach/number 2?

    Ranieri?!!!

    Could do a lot worse

no, this season has been a slide into boringness. never said that about Poch (pretty impressive, tbh, on the false narrative front). I don't see the ambition in appointing Puel. Hope the new lot can inject a bit of passion via a new manager

No, it doesn't. But his name does sound like poo. (joke)

It's looking more like Koeman was right: our ambition has plateaued, with the high water mark probably being the team he inherited (or arguably Pochettino had). Since then it has been a downward slide into boringness. We are at another critical time. Appoint a new good manager and give him funds and we may progress. Continue and next season will be a long battle against the drop

Think (hope) we might go for Mauricio Pellegrino of Alaves. Getting interest from English clubs apparently
  22. At least it holds the prospect of potentially being enough reason to give Puel the push. Doesn't it? Or maybe not with the takeover hanging over the whole club like a smelly wet blanket

He doesn't inspire them (or me). That's pretty much the crux of it. We need someone with an ounce of charisma who doesn't base everything on the avoidance of risk and a dull, conservative approach to packing the defence first and then not really worrying about how we will get forward and try and score. Needs to go before the end of the season to send a signal that we're preparing for next, and hope to keep more than the obvious leavers (VVD and Bertrand - ie massive part of our defence)
  24. But the big zip we need, the connecting 'glue' that turns us into a unit is provided by the manager. And this guy hasn't got it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Too many players like Davis who will do ANYTHING but shoot. Need much more opportunism Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
