Couldn’t see a buildup thread so here we go. Saints unbeaten in 3 up against Palace who are 2 points ahead of us having played a game less. They’ve won their last 2 at home (Wolves and Leeds, both 2-1) but were heavily beaten at Everton last time out. Hopefully Che has fully recovered. Imagine it’ll be fairly close to unchanged apart from that with KWP and ABK still out. Still after a spare ticket, can meet in Southampton this week or London on the day if anyone has one.

We’ll need more presence in midfield for this one for sure. Diallo and Armstrong ahead of JWP maybe. Will be Che leading the line and A Armstrong deeper on the left you’d have thought. I’m sure I’m not the first to mention it but why the hell have we gone for an experimental lineup against an awful team? When I saw the lineup, I thought Armstrong at 10, maybe it’ll work. First time at Villa park and it wasn’t a great experience. Trains only every 2 hours so it was heaving, and expensive. Decent beers in the city centre then a pretty miserable hour at Villa Park before getting the train home to avoid another 2 hour wait for the train. Rubbish. Was surprised by our performance and Villa’s to be fair. We were far worse than normal and they were far better.

Anyone else on the 10:17 from Southampton Central? The lads I’m going with are getting the train from London so I’ll be on my tod for the journey up. Would be good to meet for train beers on the way up if anyone fancies it
