I've started to understand why the less-educated would buy into his speech about "White-English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish" being the Aborigines of the British Isles. If you strip away all of the facts that makes perfect sense.
-
I agree with you there. Jack Straw was embarrassing at that moment.
-
So what if it does? I have no more respect for Islam than I have for Christianity, it's all fairy tales supported by the deluded, but until I'm being forced to become a Muslim I don't see why I should be expected to fear or try and repress the Muslim faith. Each to their own.
-
You've gone off on a tangent there, TDD.
-
He probably hopes his voters AREN'T watching because surely some would quit out of embarrassment. The bloke is a simpleton.
-
It'd be a worthwhile point if we were all being forced to become Muslim, sure.
-
I'm 99.999999999% certain that he meant it with no negative racial overtones whatsoever, but it was a beautiful faux pas.
-
Dimbleby said "coloured people", lol.
-
I can't believe the BBC edited that out. It completely ruined the entire point she was making.

Do they get the questions pre-recording?
-
TDD, quick question; What is your stand on the BNP and all things political? I see you, time and time again, either playing devil's advocate or just playing dumb but you never reveal more than snippets or inferences of your personal beliefs.
-
Are you suggesting that I'm a left-wing hippy? Lol. I've voted Tory all my life. I drive a turbocharged hot hatch. I work in Formula One. I drive everywhere and don't use any form of public transport - and never will until the asses at the top make us do it by law or something. Blimey, I'm the epitomy of anti-hippy. I did have long hair for a number of years but even that's moderately short nowadays. I hate people, generally speaking, but I will accept that I'm very tolerant of them - as long as they're not impacting my life too much, and by that I mean using my bit of road or stood in front of the telly.
-
Blimey, it's all kicking off at the Beeb. The lefties are being more militant than the BNP tonight.
-
No. But I understand the concept.
-
The concept. The concept. I don't believe they exist but I believe that people believe in them.
-
Ah, but "Free Speech" is not part of the rules you sign up to when you join this forum. It is when you become a citizen of the UK.
-
It's not narrow minded to not believe in ghosts. I accept the concept of ghosts but I've yet to see any proof. Bexy, I guess the last laugh will be on me when we disappear up our own celestial arsehole and you can take great pleasure in telling me that, "I told you so." Meanwhile, I am not about to start worrying about something that either, a) won't happen (My personal belief), or, b) won't be preventable if it does. That said; I'm sure it's possible for anyone to attribute any random event to some prediction or other if they skew it enough to fit the prediction.

I don't have any idols and I'll never accept anyone has more knowledge than me, whether it's true or not. I've met Clarkson and he's a bit of a jerk tbh. He's misogynistic and embarrassing (like your dad trying to breakdance at a wedding is embarrassing) but I do like Top Gear, purely for its entertainment values. James May is by far a more decent bloke. I didn't talk to Hammond 1-1, but he's quite genuine off camera.

I love you, StL x I haven't gone off you at all!
-
Did you have to make a one-off credit card payment for P&P?
-
Eastleigh lads?
-
I'm on the fence, yeah.
-
That's good.

Believing the Mayans had some sort of spiritual predictive insight is right up there with believing in ghosts, fairies, God and other fictional bunkum.
-
That's not even funny.
