  1. "Transatlantic Sessions" Series one on DVD. Absolutely magnificent!!
  2. I would like to offer Seasons Greetings to all of the decent Skates (few as they are!). I don`t want to see you disappear. I just want the natural order of things to return. My future son-in-law is a Skate fan and I just want superiority over him ( as does my daughter!). You actually KNOW that Southampton is the dogs. Just admit it!!
  3. I can`t believe that nobody has posted something negative on here!!! Sincerest Best Wishes to every Saints fan and to all Saints players and staff. "Lets hope it`s a good one without any fear"
  4. Give this a try. Not quite classic Steeleye but very good nevertheless.
  5. Pretty well spot on!
  6. Has it started again!!
  7. Mmmm.... Me too!
  8. Ah! Those were the days when we had a cross-channel ferry service from Southampton
  9. :)
  10. I bet that your family are really pleased that you think so much of their efforts!
  11. Christmas is what you make it. If you want to fall in with all of the stereotypical commercialisation, thats up to you. If you want to find other more satisfying traditional ways of celebrating the season, it can be done.
  12. Perfect summing up!
  13. Do I detect a theme here??
  14. I`d rather the top spot went to the "Help for Heroes" song "Love Farewell".
  15. I am getting very confused! There were two separate "kids". There was the little lad that ran up to Waigo, and a second bigger lad who ran on later and led the stewards a merry dance all around the pitch, before slipping up and allowing them to pile on top of him. He certainly deserves what ever he got as he deliberately provoked the stewards in a "chase me, chase me" manner, although I have to say that part of me thought that it was quite comical!!
  16. I would have said 6 or 7. He was small enough for him to jump up into Waigos arms. It may have been "wrong", but the whole thing, with Waigo giving him his shirt, really seemed to fit in with the joyous atmosphere at the ground. I did think that the two stewards who took him off the pitch, (and this did happen right in front of us), were a bit heavy handed and he seemed to be crying as they carried him off. I think that this may have concerned Waigo which is why he went over and gave him his shirt.
  17. What you mean like the time that we beat Sheff Utd the last game of the season before last? Was that acceptable??
  18. Is this a new range of biscuits??
  19. I agree. I am generally against pitch invasions of any sort but tonight a 5 year old, caught up in the atmosphere like everyone else, ran up to Waigo and jumped up into his arms. Two stewards , IMHO, roughly carried him off. I thought that on this occaision, Waigo going over and giving him his shirt was a lovely touch which added to the joyous feeling at the end. Will it encourage hordes of 5 year olds to carry out "pitch invasions?? Of course it won`t.
  20. Oh, he was distracted by the 5 year old that ran on the pitch and jumped into Waigos arms apparently.
  21. Have you posted this before???
  22. Exactly. I have no doubt that there are "Sporting Legends" in American Football and Baseball. Are they sporting legends to me?? Of course not, but am I sure that they are to some people in America. Some of my sporting legends are Barry Briggs, Tony Rickardsson and Jason Crump. People who represented one of the most dangerous sports in the world consistantly, with great courage, dedication and great success. Are they even known to most people? No, because they take part in a "minority sport". Does that take away there "Legend" status?? Of course not. MLT will alway be a legend to me for his skill, flair, loyalty and the fact that I went home smiling after games more often than not when he was playing. NOTHING will or can detract from those marvellous memories. As the song says.... "They can`t take that away from me".
  23. I fully appreciate that everybody has opinions. They are free to have them and equally free in this country (at the moment) to express them. I do query, however the validity of not only repeating them over and over again, but also of starting threads that you know perfectly well will descend into the "personal abuse" that you complain of. I don`t think that there are any regular users of this forum who are unsure of your views on MLT. Sometimes less is more.
  24. Sharron Davies MBE :-
  25. I don`t think that 19C`s problem with MLT is purely about "Throw-ingate" I remember him making derogatory remarks about him very early in the year, before the book came out. I did respond to him at the time saying that if he was going to add MLT to his hate list (LM and LC) then he was asking for trouble and wouldn`t be taken seriously.
