Yes....I thought the Branfoot days were bad, but my word, what is happening at the moment is like nothing that I have experienced before at this club. I really thought that the Spurs game was a major turning point, but it seems like we have reached another one a handful of games later. Unbelievable!!

KWP?

I don't disagree with what you say, but do you have confidence in the current owners to make the right decisions for this to happen? One of the biggest issues this season, for me. has been the length of time that they let the RM "era" carry on without any apparent concern. On the face of it, they didn't seem to actually care about results. I could understand them giving him, say, 10 games, after last season, but it almost seems that if the Spurs debacle hadn't have happened, he would still be here now!

That is the REAL sad thing. In all the time that I have supported Saints, I have never expected them to set the World alight. I knew, and accepted our place in the football world and revelled in the times that we punched above our weight. I have always been proud to say that I have been a Saints fan and the club has been a majorly important element in my fairly long life as well as that of my family. To have lost that feeling so quickly is a shock.......something that I thought would never happen. I never thought that I would see this club give up on a season so easily after the elation of last season.....it is unfathomable.....and unforgivable. I qenuinely don't know what the way back is. All of this talk about regeneration around SMS and being a Premier League fixture seems so much pie-in-the-sky at the moment.

It is a general thing with some fans. I also remember a number of fans wanting DCC (and various other players that we have gone on to sign). That also went well......

It amazes me that the Official App has a "Highlights" reel and a "Gallery" to remind us all of the momentous day!
-
I genuinely think that he has something about him, but I think that even Lionel Messi in his prime would struggle to look good in our current team/situation.

Our first daughter, who was born 4 days after we won the cup in '76 (she was due the day before the Final......I went to Wembley though, based on the theory that we could always have another child, but I might never see Saints play in a final again!), got to about 12 years old and decided that she wanted to come to footy with me. We bought a ST next to mine. We still have them and we have gone to games together ever since. She also feels the same. Lets not forget that we had just two wins at home in our last relegation the season before last......just three home wins so far in a season and a half in the Prem. No "Customer" of any other "Business" would put up with it.
-
Not just that, but for the first time in around 65 years (50 years with a ST) I am at the stage where it wouldn't worry me if I didn't go again this season. What is the point? Support the team? Is the team supporting us this season? There is supposed to be some degree of entertainment/excitement/pride/hope when attending a Saints game. None of that is there at the moment. This is the first time that I have felt like this in all that time........so,so sad.....
-
Weirdly, this may be the best thing to happen to us now in our current situation. There will be no way of papering over the fact that under SR we would have become officially the worst team in Prem history. Solak would HAVE to do something then.............wouldn't he????
-
I totally agree with you, Derry. He hasn't been used properly.....certainly not properly enough to see what if anything he CAN actually do. I was just making the the point that there are those on here who wanted us to to sign him...probably some of the same ones who are now proclaiming him as a dreadful footballer.
-
There were quite a few on here that wanted us to sign BBD......although they are quiet now, so I am not sure that most fans opinions really count for that much.....
-
Lucky you......

Can someone explain why suddenly Big Les seems to be the answer to our problems? Up until a game or two ago he had been a big disappointment. One half-decent game and.......
-
I remember several years ago when Dowie played for us, being at a game when the ball went out for a throw. A fan near me questioned why it was a throw for the opposition and his mate said that it was because the ball had come off the corner of Dowies head.......
-
A better performance and in some ways an ideal game for Juric. All of our problems obvious in one game. Powder-puff attack, and a dodgy. over-elaborate defence that is always liable to give a goal away. If he didn't understand our problems, he does now!
-
Was he a dick because Martin froze him out or did Martin freeze him out because he was dick?🤔
-
Well, I trust that he won't find playing for Saints a Forlorn Hope, and that he will be one of the new Manager's Chosen Men.....
-
Wouldn't have a beef with that......
-
Thank goodness that won't happen here!!
-
There are a few World Football Experts on here who have told him to F*ck Off before he has even got off the plane, They may be right, but I am going to go with the little heard thing of waiting to see if he is any good first....

Blackmore is a decent local reporter. You have to strike the right balance when dealing with the club. If you are too "awkward" with your questioning you won't last long. I would imagine that you would be lucky to last one Presser!

Don't know about the potential football point of view, but it certainly doesn't sound like like life will be dull around SMS..... don't know about Death Metal........expecting some Madness.

will be this surely?

3 games? First team sheet and 15 minutes for some....
