Its shocking on an ipad, why do the club keep dropping clangers like the new kit designs. Idiots.
-
I'm still going to the game. Day out, couple of beers, nothing resting on the result and live football!!

The away shirts would have looked better with red names and numbers instead of plain black to match the rest of the red trim on the shirt. Just a thought.

Flipping I phone, meant to say will take success over loyalty even if it costs.
-
Agree with OP. No loyalty shown by NC to fans whatsoever but on the other
-
Would be better with Red lettering and numbers to match the rest of the trim rather than plain black, otherwise it's really nice.

You beat me to it, on Sky Sports now, hilarious.

Your worst away day from our time in the wilderness
Didcot Saint replied to dune's topic in The Saints
This. Colchester i hope i never have to go to that utter, utter, **** hole again. Was worse with Boothroyd having narrowed the pich and telling the ball boys not to give it to our players. Horrible ground, rubbish fans, rubbish atmosphere. Sums up an average L1 Club perfectly. -
Is it just me, or did the way Spain play remind you of anyone...?
Didcot Saint replied to sidthesquid's topic in The Saints
Yep, Swansea. -
I got an XL which seemed to be exactly the same fit a last seasons shirts. I'm a 44 chest btw.

I think the main problem today was just one till in the shop although there was plenty of shirts. Maybe they should have set up some more tills just for the launch. Not complaining though the staff were all polite and were trying their best.

Went down from Didcot, joined queue at 1 20 pm outside the entrance to West Quay, thought about not bothering but considering I had come 60 Miles decided to persevere. Got my shirt at 3 25 pm! Was told 2 and a half hours was the norm! I think they need to revisit this and do something at the Megastore instead. Oh and if you wanted printing, that was another 25 mins queue after getting your shirt!

Reading are better equipped for the Premier League than Southampton
Didcot Saint replied to Elmore's topic in The Saints
Who does everyone think Will get relegated then? It is going to be a very tough League, there aren't many "weak" teams in it imo. -
****e home, we play in red and white STRIPES. FFS Away nice. A let down.

Yeovil away on the sun soaked terrace a few ales in a country pub next to Pen Mill station and a last minute winner. Walsall away 3 1 singing your not getting on to the Villa fans as the train stopped at Aston, and the 3 1 last season at Peterboro.

Me and my brother also endured the journey from hell aswell. M6 carpark.

Reading twice and big. Cocky glory hunters.

Adkins wants hungry younger players to fit in with the current team ethos, not spent injury prone big time Charlie's. No way will we sign Owen.

So where did everyone end up after the Coventry game?

Wrecked in the Prince Didcot drinking Champaign and Jaeger Bombs with my Reading supporting mates. Awesome day. -
It just shows what promotion means, I know wages will increase but so will gate receipts, hospitality and merchandise sales. It really shows just how some clubs gamble so much on trying to reach the Premier League.

Look at how much revenue is generated just from Tv money without the other spin offs! http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/broadcast-payments-to-premier-league-clubs/ Premier League announces 2011/12 broadcast payments First Published: Tuesday 15 May 2012 Barclays Premier League champions Manchester City are top earning club with £60.6m The Premier League has announced the value of broadcast payments made to its 20 clubs for the 2011/12 season. Newly crowned Barclays Premier League champions Manchester City received the highest total payment of £60.6m, the highest broadcast payment any winner has received in the Premier League's history. "The differences between teams have become smaller and the quality is higher" - Arsene Wenger Manchester United, who were pipped to the title by City, received over £60.3m - down slightly on last season when they were the top earning club. The Founder Members' Agreement of the Premier League sees the revenue from UK broadcast rights distributed in the following ways: 50% split equally between the 20 clubs 25% paid in merit payments (depending on where a club finishes in the final League table) 25% paid in facility fees each time a club's matches are on TV in the UK. Each club is guaranteed a minimum of 10 facility fee payments, while all international broadcast revenue is split equally amongst the 20 clubs and worth nearly £18.8m each for the 2011/12 season. The Premier League sells broadcast rights in three-season agreements and the current deals cover the 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. Over £968m was paid out in total to Premier League clubs this season - an increase of more than £15m on last season. Including payments made to clubs that have dropped out of the top flight the total is over £1.1 billion. Smaller differences Prior to the final weekend of the season, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said he believes the way broadcast payments are distributed helps keep the Barclays Premier League competitive. "I think it has been a very interesting season because it was very unpredictable and every game was difficult," he said. "The way we distribute broadcast income plays a part in allowing each club to compete" - Richard Scudamore "The differences between teams have become smaller and that is why maybe the quality is higher. There are less financial differences apart from two or three teams because the international television rights have gone up tremendously compared to the domestic rights. "They are shared equally in the Premier League and the financial differences are smaller. Therefore the Premier League is more levelled out and there is less difference." Premier League Chief Executive Richard Scudamore added: "The Premier League's income distribution mechanism rewards sporting success in the League while also guaranteeing a significant amount of broadcast revenue to each club in order that they can plan from one season to the next. "It has been a fantastic season, arguably the best of all the 20 Premier League seasons, and the clubs deserve huge credit for the quality of football on show throughout 2011/12. "We believe the way we distribute broadcast income plays a part in allowing each club to compete at the highest level." I think the ride back to the PL was absolutely brilliant and wouldn't have missed it for the world, we wouldn't have experienced lthe last minute winner at Yeovil on the terrace in the sunshine, 3000 plus fans under one stand going mad at Leyton Orient, promotion at Plymouth and drinking the train dry on the way home, winning 3-1 at Walsall, getting on the train, stopping at Aston and seeing the look of incredulity of the Villa fans seeing the train packed with away fans and not being able to get on, going mental at Peterborough on a covered terrace behind the goal, winning nearly every week, ruining Brightons unbeaten home record in the last minute, a brilliant day out at Wembley winning the JPT and so on and so on. Would it have been the same loosing to crap teams like Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves etc, no I don't think so. But now I'm happy, my beloved Saints are back in the top tier and I think will hold our own, but relegation, was it worth it? Oh yes, most definitely.

Season Tickets 'how many will we sell next season'
Didcot Saint replied to djharvey's topic in The Saints
Even if it financially ruined me, I am going to renew mine because I am so proud to be a Saints Fan at the mo, what a brilliant club, all the rubbish we watched under the Lowe Championship era, back to the Pl in three years, awesome.
