How the hell would I know? I just said I would be hapoy for them to prove me wrong cause so far I dont see why they feel they should be wearing the Red and White stripes of Saints FC!

All our arguments on either side uare based on Mights and Could of's. The Dutch experiment hasnt worked yet but the overdraft is being reduced and if we are talking about bringing in another player or 2 so I am guessing the threat of Admin is easing. The English system that Crouch wants has had over 10 years of effort with mainly Lowe the toss pot in charge but also when Wilde and then Crouch took over. How much good has it really done us? Dutch experiment mark 1 didnt work but Mark 2 has already shown he can make a change or 2 and it has made a difference. If he reverts back to a system that doesnt work more will want him gone but if he goes with what worked from the last game and builds on it why should we make yet another change? I know Crouch and Pearson didnt get a fair crack at it but I was more fearful of ending up in Admin with him than I am with Lowe. Even though there is obviously a strong possibility it can still happen .

I understand that too bud but half the argument on here is made of IFs and Could of's and Rumours that turn into facts because they get told so often. I thought Pearson deserved a chance and I agree he would probably have brought in better players. JP and co brought in too many naff players IMO although I would be happy for the likes of Gasmi and Pulis to prove me wrong. That said, the players that we put out on the pitch each week have shown several times that they are more than capable of putting in a decent performance and had they done it consistently we would be much higher up the league. again its another IF though.

Fair point but I am just saying things as I read it. 2 million each works out as the 6 million and Crouchs plans were as I said before or so its been told. This is how he is trying to win the support to get his foot back in the door and if we all fall for it we could end up with the same sittuation but different faces again.
-
no you said "Your point that gates would not be better under Crouch and Pearson than they are now is rubbish." I said I doubt they would be much better had the situation been the same. I dont see how what i said was rubbish? I dont see why we are arguing over it as its all based on IF's Crouch may have come in and brought 10 million with him and we could be riding high right now. The people at the top though decided to side with who ever they did for there own reasons and are tryint to do things about the situation. Untill Crouch comes up with some hard evidence that he can do better I dont see why we should all jump ship again.

I thought the overdraft was around 6 million at the start of the season but now around 4.5 million? the 6 m illion that is being touted about now would clear our overdraft and get a new manager in while paying off our current ones and give the new manager some cash to buy some players alledgedly.
-
So you think like i said if we were in the same position with Crouch in charge gates would still be up in or near the 20000s? 1 win in 14, 2nd from bottom in the league, cant win at home, unable to play our better players, loaning in carp cause we cant afford better. this is what i meant about being in the same position. And you really believe the crowds would still stick by the team through that? Im sorry but no matter who is manager/chairman/owner if the situation is as bad as it is today we would have many empty seats in SMS.

Were there not more season ticket holders last season? was the early bird renewal being taken up while Crouch was in charge? Not trying to distort your figures but many had decided to give up coming this season before Lowe had returned and If we are going to deal with Facts can we stop with what would happen IF Crouch was in charge this season? im not trying to say people are not staying away because of lowe being here and accept there would probably be larger gates but going back to an IF for a sec, IF we were in the same position in the table now had Crouch been here I doubt the gates would have been all that impressive.

I havnt seen Scooby post here for ages so thats probably why you didnt get a reply. Wilde campaigned to get rid of Lowe for bloody ages yet after he royally ballsed it up he went back to Lowe for help to get things straight. He could have teamed up with Crouch to get rid of the execs and kept Lowe out of it. Crouch was happy to be the figure head and has ideas of his own on how a football club should be run. But why didnt he? If his main aim was to keep us out of admin and he chose Lowe who he hates over Crouch who helped him kick Lowe out last time does that not suggest that Lowe has a purpose? not saying I like it but I dont hate him just because he has sided with the goon we all hate the most and if there was a definate better alternative that offered more than empty promises im sure that 99.9 % ( the missing .1 % is scooby of corse ) would be united in trying to get a change. Right now the choices we have are alltas bad as each other IMO
-
My choice on which one I want out the most changes on a daily bases but I try to at least see things how they are or how they could be so rarly get worked up enough to have a go at anyone. Some people on the boards cant see past there hatred for one of the other and that gets in the way of some prety decent debate on here sometimes.

A bit hypocritical this really. You suggest Lowe would be picking the team and players yet you complain about the players GB brought in. GB took us to within a game or 2 of the prem with those players so they cant of been that bad. The idea that Lowe picks the team has come from rumours and have been spouted about so much that many believe them to be fact. IMO its a load of balls and doesnt do anyone any favours by continuing to be spouted out. If the team is restricted due to finances then this would still be the case no matter who is at the top. But as its rupes its told like he picks the team, Rasiak was loaned out when Crouch was here so effectivly he was telling Pearson he coulndt pick him. Same thing in my book only now we dont have anyone wanting to loan the players we cant afford to pay. If we were in the same position in the league under crouch this season then I doubt the gates would be much different as they are now so Barcleys would still be looking for realistic ways of getting the overdraft reduced. Saying that we are all only guessing and IF doesnt mean jack as we will never know. The only thing we can garentee is that Lowe and Wilde are muppets and the sooner they are gone the better. Is Crouch any better? Evidence so far suggests to me that he is not so I cant see the point in changing things to him.

I didnt say any game was empty and I didnt say any game would be empty. I was there for the plymouth game which was his 1st game and the crowd were all that much better than many crowds this season. Bristol City were flying high at the time and we generally get a good crowd when ever we play teams from the top or the bottom of the league. using that as an example is as much use as using the Man U game as an example this season. I accept that if we were at the top of the table we would have much bigger crowds, but that goes for the current lot too right? I dont see how the current mess's would be any better or worse to be honest with him in charge. They are all pr1cks of the highest order and I would only welcome a change if there was more evidence than a solent interview of things being actually better.

Jesus that guy is full of the same wind as the other 2. When he was here last the only time we had a decent crowd was the last day of the season. before that the numbers were going down week on week. Financial problems were also here when he was here last time and wasnt he planning to close the corners too? And get rid of the bus deal? Didnt he also cash in on the Theo deal and then say he hadnt? so allot of the decissions that have made rupes and wilde so unpopular he would have made too but because he made them we would be OK financially and more people in the gates. Ill give him the benifit of doubt that pearson would have got us more points but the team we have right now has largly been dictated by the financial mess that he is a part of, so I cant honestly say i think Pearson would have done that much better with the same team considering the results he had last season with a team much stronger on paper. Someone needs to come up with the reddys to sort out our problems. I mean actually turn up with cash. not talk about getting the cash or promising cash wouldnt be a problem or talking about investers that will turn up when this person or that person leaves. It just sounds like he is trying to stir up the fans much like Wilde did the 1st time. If we fall for it this time I think there should be a condition that we can throw him off the Itchen Bridge should he be full of hot air.
-
Does that mean we will sell him? Ok stupid question lol.
-
Just heard his knee had gone and was taken off. I may be fearing the worst but its only a question.
-
Jusst wondering as he seems to have got allot better and with us losing Holmes it sounds like we might need a winger. Would he be supported if he came back and brought his new found form with him?
-
Was that last season? If so i stand corrected but I wasnt trying to amke a scape goat of him when GB noshed up most of our season. Was just pointing out what I thought.
-
I suggested that at the start of January but someone suggested that the league rules say you cant play for more than 2 English clubs in a season so that Loan might not count. ???
-
GB brought him here and offered him a contract based on how good he proved to be. the following season he was arse and eventually got dropped or played in other positions. I wouldnt have said that GB shat all over him based on that. Personally I would still play him ahead of McGoaldrick but he was hardly prolific last season and wasnt that prolific when he went out on loan either.

relieved considering half time score. will wait to see if he or the team learnt any lessons by the time we play swansea huh
