To be honest I am interested in what happens on the pitch and think the people on the board should worry about this kind of stuff. maybe im just old fashoned
-
Its not a case of forgiving Lowe of anything. I just dont think his mistakes make him any worse than the others. The Board of directors made decissions and collectivly they are at fault. The current Board of Directors are trying to turn the club around doing what IMO is a pretty good way forward. We are certainly seeing better football this year compared to last year and I hope it works because building a team from our acadamy that goes on to do well will make us a stronger team all round.

out outgoings have been reduced but we dont know the terms on the loans we have sent out, we may still be paying a portion of there wages for instance. trouble is, as we have reduced our outgoings our income has also fallen. we need the income to be allot higher than it is to service the club and the debt.

funny how he wanted all sides to work together yet wilde a rupes couldnt agree so crouch had to pick a side. Yet now the 2 who could work together are in and crouch is the one out in the cold. Why can they all not work together now and get rid of the snipes in the papers? If its true that crouch was going to use the kids and reserves this year why does his plan not fit in with what is happening?

Personally I think Lowe and Wilde and the other ijits wont want to lose out so will come up with a plan to buy the company back off the administrators - much of the debt and carry on where they left off. The model they are using has shown signs of working but just needs just a little more cash to keep it on track. with much of the debt gone they will be able to operate there plan easier and try to get the club back to a position here they can make there money back.

but unfortunatly these sort of simple ideas are far beyond anything these 3 important men can cope with.
-
I think that would make are problems worse, there wages alone must be much higher than anything surman and adam are on.
-
I think if they worked on this idea as guide lines and should a club that fails to keep within these gude lines go into administration then strickter punishments can be dished out. That would then limit the amount of clubs that risk all.

A club with a low income sets a wage cap isnt really that daft. the players that managers brought in within that wage cap is slighty more daft. We had 1 year where we did better in the league than we have done in a very long time and we also reached the FA Cup final. Before that we were a mediocor team that always struggled to stay in the top flight. after that we returned to being that team and lost our top flight status. Now on our season of success we could have risked everything and raised wage caps and transfer spending in the hope that the manager could buy enough quality players to take us to the next level. how much have sunderland spent? Or leeds in the past? or we could have carried on within sensible limits which we did. for a club that was usually close to relegation i dont think it was that out of order to run the club with caution and as Crouch states himself that when he came in there was no more than the parachute money so Lowe much have been running the club within the budget that the clubs income alloud.

But it goes to show that peoples hate for the man Lowe changes the way they think about any decissions that are made and can be put down to his name. i wouldnt compare the 2 myself but looking at a few things in black and white its funny how the same events get treated differently. Had we won the FA Cup in 2003 would Lowe have been looked at any differently? If we get promoted while Lowe is still here would that make him look any better? My thoughts are that he would still be a posh ***t and i would rather him be gone basically because although he will happily take the plaudits when he gets things right he doesnt have the humility to own up when he makes a hash of things.
-
still resulted in relegation. lots of different circumstances and reasons in both but i think jonah was trying to show double standards are widly used when ever lowes name gets thrown into the hat.
-
Probably yes now as there is only a handful of games till the transfer window. Had we been getting those gates throughout the season and still sold the family jewels then everyone would have allot more right to go mad at the current board. If 18k gates service our outgoings and our debt then 20k should be putting us in a very good position. but if we need 18k and only getting 14k then its a bit late for a rallying cry of fill the stadium so the fans are not an excuse.

Fair assesment IMO. But whats your take on Wilde?
-
TBH thats the 1st time I have seen the old one. It looks like a charector from Beavis and Butthead or some dodgy cartoon. lol

Without a crystal ball its hard to say what will happen in the future but on the basis that there will be no investment in the next say 5 years I would rather we carry on the way we are trying than change anything. Not bothered too much at who is at the top but the team is showing signs of doing things the right way and they are playing football which is great to watch at times. Anyone with serious money however should be seriously considered as that could provide the icing on the cake of our team.

Fair play for Crouch saying he would give away his shares. Its 1 thing saying it and another actually doing it though. Personally I dont think he or anyone should give them away for free. Simply buying shares in a club doesnt help the club as its not investment. I own 1 share and you buy it off me I get the money not the club. So anyone that owns shares in SFC have done so as an investment and are not expecting to make a loss on that investment. How many companys do you know that are ready to be sold for nothing? IMO I think all 3 of the main shareholders are tossers as like others have said the best way forward would be for all of them to work together. As long as there is a split there will be this constant bickering between them in the press. Lowe having a dig every 5 mins then trying to make out he wont be drawn into the blame game is fecking histerical. How Crouch would have kept the attendances above 20K is beyond me. He said he wasnt able to impliment his Plan B when Hone Oldcow and co were there yet on his 2nd stint he had his opertunity and outgoings went up even further. The facts are all there and collectivly they have all broke the bank trying there many different tactics. The fans are fed up with all of it so even with Crouch at the helm the gates would still be Low IMO. His last point about the fans turning up is about the only decent point and shows him to be a fan of the club more than anything else. Too little to late i think though and he is just setting himself up to be able to have another dig next month when players get sold. If he said this 4 months ago and people listened keeping gates up near the 20K mark then he and everyone else could be up in arms if Lowe sold the family silver. But saying it when we have 2 or 3 home games before the transfer window opens is a bit like pronouncing your gold fish as dead 3 weeks after it got flushed down the toilet.
-
Attendances have been declining year on year since we got relegated and the only way we could have hit 20,000 this season would have been to be challenging for the top 2 spots. the only way we hit it last year was the final push to stay in the league. If crouch had stayed and made the required cuts we would still be short of half a team and considering Pearson struggled with the team we had I wouldnt fancy having the job this season. We can only guess what could have been or what might have been though. I would have liked Pearson to get the job to see what he could do with a pre-season. Only thing I think would have been better would be the defence. Ability to score with the strikers available would still be out of the window so overall I would guess we would be on around the same amount of points. Had Crouch still been here no doubt he would have made an agreement with the bank on the coming season and if he went to them saying we will get gates of over 20,000 each week then maybe they would have supported him. But if the gates dropped to under 14k he would be under more pressure than the current lot to get the revenue and the firesale would completly destroy us come january. Ive not said that Rupes is not to blame for anything, its only Rupes himself that says that. Crouch got similar stick for bringing pearson in as he wasnt a big name. The club seem to have gone this route with people that will utalize the system the club want and within the budget set. If things get better and we push for the top 2 spots will anyone come on and sya how right Rupes was for going in this direction?
-
TV might not play that much of a role as its on Sultana. Not as many people have that and I cant see many signing up for a year. I am going to spend my money on travel and see the game at SMS rather than get sultana so at least 1 more seat will be sold.
-
thats the kind of attitude that puts you in the same box as scooby IMO. you keep banging the drum about how bad it all is but there still isnt anyone that has come up with a realistic alternative that we can all support. if someone with a bundle of cash seriously and publicly shows an instrest in SFC there will be a tidal wave of support washing out all tire kickers we have at our club. there isnt though and unless you can see that point of view you will continue to rant and rave about utter gumf
-
Saint Marc is supposed to be Wilde I think. Not sure if its been confirmed but thats what is believed.
-
I see your point and agree. There is loads I dont want Rupes around for and him slinging sh1t in every direction but his own is laughable. He does himself no favours coming out with yet another previous regime bashing. A simple statement of the bonus cup money will help but not significantly so work still needs to be done would have got a much better response. I cant ever see him saying something like that though so try to ignor most of his waffle and im happier when he keeps his mouth shut and gets on with trying to turn us away from administration.
-
well done, your a troll who can pick out quotes by certain people. now run along and find the plants for crouch, fulthorp, wilde before he ran low out of town, tommac, the other one HRH or something, Lowes original ones, Salz and any others you can think of. Or does your attention only stretch to 1 point of view?
-
Im refering to all of them. This might only be a small section of the fan base but it still gives a good idea on the total fan bases feelings good or bad and it has been used by people at the top, in the wings, coming in or going out and even people who think they have what it takes to buy the club. cant realy just complain that rupes has used the same tactics.
-
I think you will find he is not the only one to use the forum in 1 way or another so while you throw that bucket of kak at rupes make sure it spreads around the rest of them wont ya.
-
5000 stay aways because of rupes? doubt it very much. 5000 stay aways because of money, league position, lack of stars, unknown manager and expected spankings? sounds more like it to me. Can you see it being any different with any of the other main players in the hot seat? All im saying is the club seem to be making the cuts or at least trying too in order to get us inline with our income. I dont like it much but like the alternatives even less.
