I believe the young lady of the Fan Advisory Board said Spots said "our interim manager is purely interim". That was a statement of fact at the time as he doesn't have a contract to be manager of the first team. It doesn't preclude that interim manager being offered a full time contract at any point after that.
-
So if we get 12 points from 12, after beating teams in 9th and 12th, it would be an idiotic decision to stick with the interim manager who guided the team to those results?
-
Scheiße. I joined this forum in 2006 when I was 13 und die world cup was in Deutschland. I knew then that one day I would become interim manager of die Heiligen.
-
The way it worked when Hassenhüttl went was Selles had a couple of game as interim. We installed Jones, sacked Jones in short order and went back to Selles. The way it worked when Martin went was Rusk had a couple of games as interim. We installed Juric, sacked Juric in short order and went back to Rusk. This time we've got two wins from three interim boss. I don't know whether anyone else would have won or lost those games, but if the man and the players click, why on earth would you change? He is still "interim" until he's not, but I do think it absolutely stupid to not keep on looking at his capabilities.

Hang on. Eckert can win games with 2 days training, but it will be a problem for experienced managers?
-
What is ludicrous is the amount of people be saying we don't want to Eckert based on "feels". He's won two from two. I've no idea if that keeps going or not. But there's also no guarantee that any other name comes in and gets points. Until there's any evidence that Eckert is utterly crap, and we've not seen that yet, let's see if we can continue the win streak. Absolutely no long term decision is needed yet.

I have no problem at all with a manager with a 100% record taking charge of the next game.
-
I knew it would make for interesting discussion. I have zero idea if it bears any relationship with reality, but international breaks are dull.
-
Rumour I was told today was that there was a shortlist of three non British candidates. But that there would be no movement as the risk of a backlash if the new appointee lost after Eckert had won two, was too great. Would only be movement if Eckert dropped points.

Apparently Goztepe players are amongst the 27 super lig players suspended in the betting scandal that has encompassed over 1000 players.
-
Agree ,cant see Saints winning with 10+ days to prepare, compared with 2 days for each of their previous matches...

You know the names positions can be played with different positioning on the pitch. THB improved positioning allowed fellows for room in front of him.
-
Fellows and THB positioning for a start. Just look at the average position to show how much better balance we had.
-
How much different can you instill? Eckert had Mon and Tuesday for QPR, Thursday and Friday for Sheffield Wednesday. How much do people honestly expect can be changed for those two games? Eckert didn't throw them baby out with the bathwater he corrected issues that Still didn't in his tenure With a Fortnight until Charlton, now is the time where a difference can be made on the training pitch. When we appointed Jones, the interim was reappointed later. When we appointed Juric, the interim was appointed later. Let's give this interim a bit longer.
-
Eckert has had two days training before each game. No time to do anything but tweak Stills tactics and get the players giving more on the pitch. I don't know if he's the right man for the job, but I would give him the international break to actually see what he can do with his own ideas. Just say "we're still thinking, can you do the next two games"
-
Also worth noting that the F.A.B. meeting was before Eckert earned three points.
-
Wonder if the betting odds are based on MB's posts, and wondering if anybody checked the accuracy of previous posts....
-
I would be surprised if Eckhart wasn't given the Sheffield Wednesday Game at minimum, and if we have a decent result, then give him a fortnight with the players to have couple of more games afterwards. It makes more sense to give him a run, than make an error with giving someone a contract now.
-
No pre-match presser. We go in knowing as much as QPR about saints player availability, tactics etc
-
if Solak wanted to, he could offer money to the manager he wanted. not saying he would. But saying he could.

So the new poster who mentioned Marco Rose....

There’s no single line where the coast “finishes,” which is why designated planning areas are so useful. In planning terms, the coast ends where marine processes stop being relevant. That means areas no longer affected by tidal flooding, saline intrusion, or coastal erosion fall outside coastal planning frameworks. Southampton qualifies as coastal because it sits on a tidal estuary directly connected to the Solent. It’s covered by Shoreline Management Plans and Coastal Change Management Areas, which are designed to manage risk from the sea. London, by contrast, is inland. While the Thames is tidal through the city, it isn’t exposed to marine erosion or shoreline retreat. That’s why London is managed under fluvial flood zones, not coastal ones, and doesn’t have designated CCMAs.

I don't know when you degree was from but It sounds a bit like astrologists still calling Pluto a planet because it feels familiar, but it hasn't been recognised as a planet for years. Definitions evolve. In planning and geomorphology, Southampton Water is a coastal estuary, and its management reflects that. The presence of river mouths doesn’t negate its coastal status.
-
No London is not on the Coast hence why there are no Coastline Erosion risks from the government. London, London | Shoreline Management Plans Southampton has coastal erosion plans Southampton, South East | Shoreline Management Plans Southampton is situated on an Estuary, London is situated on a river.
