So why did we take him? he is either good enough to make the team and a contribution to our promotion or he is not up to it only time will tell one short stint is not enough to form an opinion on!

Not sure the first three really improved us and none established a place in the team even in league 1 Guly actually is one of our better signings and has made the team and scored 11 goals though tends to be a tad inconsistent at times he can turn on the class as v boro As I said Hooiveld was not our first choice. Cork started off great but has faded recently I really hope, Lee Sharp and Falque do the business! I am wishing for it as much as anyone and the next 10 games or so should tell

A win today and again on Tuesday would certainly get our season back on track

13 points out of the last 12 league games! this is poor form however you look at it! 12 games is not a wobble it is over 25% of the season, and is therfore more of a slump That is a full 9 behind the average of 2 a game usually needed for almost certain promotion! We must get back to winning ways now We have now used up all the fat we stored for the winter through our excellent season start, which has masked the recent decline. We are hungry now and need to get out and hunt afresh whilst we still can before starvation sets in leading to further decline. Bring on Burnley and come on you Saints

Will be interesting to see how Falque turns out! He has yet to have a decent run. However I do question some of the transfers made by Adkins, who seems to coach very well and run a good ship (or bus ) but his transfer selections do sometimes leave a bit to desire. I cite the likes of Stephens, N'Guesson, Forte etc. none of whom improved the team or established a real presence. Hoivelled, Cork and Guly have been better although Cork seems to be fading, Guly runs hot and cold and Hoivelled was actually our third or fourth choice! The likes of Lambert, Harding, Puncheon, Fonte, Hammond all have made better impressions even though they were signed for League 1 Let us hope Sharp and Falgue can make their mark on the team for the crucial run in and that we we find the midfield creativity and defensive solidity we seem to be currently lacking.

Whilst I agree this is a very pertinent thread that should not be met by abuse! You likewise should stop this web fan versus real fan generalisation of yours! For example just because I happen to be 4000 miles away from matches most weeks doesn't make me any less of a fan even if I am forced to be what you call a web fan these days!

It is a very pertinent point although we are top scorers our goals per game over the last 10 or so games has been very disappointing (Forest being the exception) and we are just not creating the chances we were earlier in the season. Today was a typical day where long shots were called for given the conditions and we didnt manage one shot on target all match.

Good solid point under the conditions but our sticky patch continues we are falling further behind the target of 2 a game although given the closeness of the league less than 2 a game may be enough to go up! 4 points of Brum cant be bad though!
