The man has acted with dignity and intelligence from day one of him being linked with us.I expected a bigger name to manage us, but i am pleasently suprised how far we have come with him and Crosby in such a short time. Rickie Lambert as we all know has struggled so far, for whatever reason.Saturday i saw the famous old "green-shoots", of improvement in what i believe to be a slightly different role.To me he appears when we play 2 up to play much deeper than last season,which means we pass the ball through him, linking the midfield and therefore playing a more passing game than the big hoof up to his head.Rickie's first touch is still not there yet, but i am hopeful. Nigel Adkins appears to be the right man at the right time and i for one are happy.The first 20 minutes of Saturday's first half, from both sides, were the best i have seen in a long while, long may it continue.

I am sure the chairman via his job history is capable of finding another Markus, who may trust the chairman as Markus did, to spend his money for the ultimate prize, Premier League. I am more than happy to ride with NC as the driving force, but i fear more upheaval with regards another owner, could do even more damage than good..............

Logic tells us that non of this should be true Duncan, but there is no smoke without fire, as they say.Why bring in a new manager, why indeed sack the old manager, if you are lining up the club to be sold.Anyway, i'll never forget when, at my place of work, they completely gutted the old ,ladies toilet block, replaced it with a brand new washroom, then closed the place and made everyone redundant two weeks later.Logic hey.

Much improved shape seconed half,a little suprised Guly was not given a little longer.One half of central midfield still not adding to our team. Liked the way when we changed our left side everything was done at a far better momentum, which kept their back four turning.I also liked our back four pushing onto the midfield a little more, rather than sit back.It made Morgan play further up the pitch.Of course the problem with pushing up can leave you vulnerable, if you become square when pushing up,which nearly cost us in the last 5 minutes.Great save there KD, but for goodness sake sort out your kicking, two unchallenged kicks put straight into touch. Finally, just a word on set pieces..................practice them FFS!

After having been involved with Saints for more years than i care to remember, you would think as fans we would get used to trials and tribulations that have be-fallen this club. After last season, which i thoroughly enjoyed, i allowed myself the luxury of relaxing and thinking with the club in safe hands, the manager up for the fight of promotion, we would party on through the season.I should have known better, just when you think it's safe to enter the water, some arse throws in another shark.Why oh why is it always SFC, that has to be at various levels of sewage, why can't we win our first game with a new manager, it happens everywhere else. Tomorrow i will keep to my same ritual, go to the game full of hope, full of lager, but please let me walk home happy, for the cat's sake, please.

Would like to see Fonte in central midfield, with Morgan, Martin coming back in, if fit.
