  1. What - this, you mean? The Bank of England has said that the UK's economic growth is set to pick up, although risks to the recovery remain. In its latest Inflation Report, it said economic conditions remained uncertain and the recovery could be hit by "substantial fiscal tightening".
  2. Hate it - along with men in shorts proudly displaying their beer bellies:smt078

  6. And a lot of that is down to the fact that we have a bigger banking sector than other European countries.
  7. From your man: In its latest Inflation Report, it said economic conditions remained uncertain and the recovery could be hit by "substantial fiscal tightening".
  8. Left back, wasn't it?
  9. I listened to Prof. Danny Blanchflower (no - not the footballer ) on the BBC earlier. He was a member of the committee that advises the Bank of England. He reckons we'll now be in for a double-dip recession due to the economic policies of the new government.
  10. Aren't we getting an (additional) bank holiday because of her Diamond Jubilee or something similar?
  11. It has been mooted that Andy Burnham might stand. Gets my vote - it's the good looks that'll swing it for me

I looked very closely but I couldn't decide who had the biggest d*ck - Cameron or Clegg. Any ideas?

But I thought Tory boys 'loved' nannies I do smoke, drink and eat what I like. Sam Cameron, of course, can do as she wishes. However, and I'm sure her midwife has told her this too, if she wears high-heeled shoes, she risks falling over (and potentially damaging her baby) and she also risks damaging her back permanently because of the change in her posture. Still - if she's happy to take that risk - it's a free world. My words were meant kindly.
  14. So the Liberals were lying?
  15. So was I! I don't remember the king dying but I do remember the coronation - watching it on my auntie's tiny black and white TV set. If the coronation was on a weekday, it must have been a public holiday or at least a school holiday.
  16. This is what happened to Luton. Docked 30 points for financial irregularities (caused by its previous owners). A precedent surely?
  17. If you'd watched Have I Got News For You recently you would have seen Ian Hislop lambast the Labour Government and its ministers. Ian Hislop always makes fun of whosoever is in power. It's his job - he's a satirist. To quote from his Wiki entry: "Hislop has been highly critical of all major British political parties for over 20 years"
