  1. I also stuck £20 on a WHU win. I'm now trying to think of another bet to stick the £46 on that's currently residing in my on-line betting account. Thing is though, it would take a serious, serious amount of money to try and ease the pain if we balls this up.
  2. Obviously a wind-up as no sane person could possibly think that.
  3. Thought Konchesky played alright, especially in the first half. Very lacklustre from Leicester. Shame nothing more was made of the fact that the WHU CB kicked 6ft tall Wes Morgan in the head in the penalty box right at the end.
  4. Haven't seen it officially confirmed but Jordan Sibley and Solent seemed to think the Beeb were planning on showing it when they were tweeting last night. We've played on TV 10 times this season and we've won only 2 of them, both against Leeds. *GULP*
  5. Quality, not quantity. Also, don't forget the picture of the steam train that Doncaster gave us.
  6. Not exactly anything to brag about if you look at it from an objective point of view. JPT Trophy - Come on, we used to mock it when we were in the Prem. L1 Runners Up - Runners up after all the money we spent in that league... NPC Runners Up... TBC but still, we were top for virtually the entire season but couldn't quite hang in there. I'm not having a dig, the last few years following Saints have been the most fun I've had in the 20 years I've been following them, but the silverware isn't exactly something to brag about.
  7. Is your brother bigger than you? If not, mug him for it, he'll get over it eventually.
  8. I wouldn't say it's bigger than the FA Cup finals. At the end of the day, there was a trophy at stake there and for a club with embarrassingly little success on that front, they were truly massive games for us. Yes the financial reward is massive these days for promotion but from a fan point of view, I'd rather a trophy in the cabinet.
  9. Well as you can see, there is little point in having a poll, Lambert is going to win it by a country mile. Though you have missed my point. I was merely wondering why he chose Hooiveld because the poll isn't to find out which player exceeded expectations or surprised you the most, those are the reasons he's given for voting for Hooiveld.
  10. Is Robsk going to get banned after he posted a nasty message aimed at myself, whilst quite clearly drunk...?
  11. Hope you lot in Blocks 43 and 44 are going to be able to cope with us uber fans in Block 42 waving our season tickets at you all game.
  12. Need to speak to the ticket office and the website nearly always crashes during busy periods!
  13. It's normally done by fans of small teams, desperate to show the world that their nothing club does actually have some fans. That's why most club shirts you see when following England away are normally small, tinpot Yorkshire teams. That said, I once wore a Saints polo shirt at the Ashes test in Sydney. So, sorry, I made us appear tinpot.
  14. Not entirely. I'm off to the Euros with England, so I'll be surrounded by mongs dressed as knights for a few weeks.
  15. I'd just prefer people to dress normally. Would you go to work dressed as Superman? Would you go and do the shopping dressed as Batman? Would you go pick the kids up from school dressed as Osama Bin Laden? I'm going to presume that you're not a complete mentalist and that your answer to those questions is no. So therefore, aren't you slightly bemused as to why someone would want to do that when attending a football match?
  16. I certainly do. The main one being at the moment - mongs in fancy dress at the football.
  17. I can only assume you quoted CFSFC by mistake as your post has nothing to do with the question he originally posed.
  18. Probably some kind of inferiority complex. They know they're not as good looking, well dressed or as intelligent as the rest of us, so they dress up in some zany costumes and create a false persona for themselves to hide behind for the day, to help them try and escape the reality that they are in fact one of life's losers.
  19. Obviously there were people who would've had legitimate reasons for not going. I just find it hard to believe that out of the 55k that went to Wembley, 53k of them all had a genuine excuse for not going. I find it hard to believe that out of the 6,000 that went to Palace, 3k had a genuine excuse for not going. I even find it hard to believe that out of the 4,500 that went to Reading, 1.5k of them had a genuine excuse. I wonder if the people that were offering £100+ for a ticket for Plymouth, Brentford and Orient last year were as desperate for a ticket for Boro? Also, if I wanted to talk about tonight's game or the Coventry game, I would do so on the applicable threads. Sorry though, I wasn't aware any other topic of conversation was banned until those games have been played.
  20. I imagine they would've gathered outside the ground, awaited the Sky cameras to turn up and then started singing "Let's go f*cking mental".
  21. They should just consider themselves lucky that they don't play for Genoa; http://www.thenewstribune.com/2012/04/22/2117168/fan-protests-prompt-genoa-siena.html
  22. Well believe me, it does make you a better fan as you could actually be bothered to make the effort to support the team unlike those who only make the effort when it's an hour up the road. If Saturday's game was against Palace or Reading, people would've been offering mental money for tickets and they would've been like gold dust. Where as the game actually involved a bit of effort in getting to, most people decided they couldn't be bothered and there were over 1k tickets that went unsold. Still can't get my head around how people think having 1k unsold tickets for one of the biggest games in decades is good support. Shame on those who couldn't be bothered.
  23. Though it would be quite funny if the NPC player of the season failed to win our player of the season award.
  24. As Fat Sam said, if he was at WHU they would've been promoted weeks ago.
