I don't think different strikers would improve our game if Ralph continues to play like this. The midfield was blatantly too weak, it was never going to work and put added pressure on our defence. Ralph as usual believed his own hype after a few relatively improved results. Nothing changes as long as Ralph remains at the club

Well Ralph did something that Ralph hasn't done in his time with us. Something we have all been screaming at him to do. You honestly think he came up with this on his own ? Seriously?

Many would disagree. If it was his own decision then why wait so long ? More likely it was forced on him by his assistant coaches. Ralph isn't known for making timely decisions.

So in your opinion Ralph told the team to play painfully slow and turgid football for 70 minutes and then switch it on for the last 20 minutes once we were 2 nil down and the fans demoralised?

Seeing as play instantly sped up once Ralph's tactics were removed from the game its obvious our painfully slow build up is coached into the team. Armstrong instantly got the type of ball he craves and created the opportunity. The new players played their way rather than Ralph's and we became dangerous. Saints media are trying to spin this as a positive for Ralph but to me it shows why he has to go. He is and always was the problem.

This is garbage and you know it. Its not entitled to want a failed coach to play players in their best positions, to make logical substitutions, to choose a formation and tactics to suit each team we play.

You have a history of adoring managers who others hated though.

Surely a decent coach chooses a formation and tactics based on the players he has at his disposal? It never ceases to amaze me how some fans bend over backwards to avoid placing blame on Ralph .

The most surprising thing about the game is how many fans thought Ralph would suddenly become a competent coach after 3 years of being hopeless. Slow, predictable , unable to defend or threaten.

While your point is fair about incoming players, I always had faith in Koemans ability to improve inexperienced players. I don't have any faith in Ralph whatsoever.

Well Tino, Salisu, Stu Armstrong and Romeu all went backwards this season. JWP also reverted back to his sideways and backwards football. Broja went backwards, Redmond is Redmond. Who has Ralph improved exactly?

I think this is the season we go down. Ralph hasn't learnt anything in his time with us and other teams have worked him out already. Potentially better players may improve us temporarily until Ralph ruins them. Hopefully the board move quickly so the team can recover in time.

So why did he score for fun before us? Ralph can't set up our midfield to provide him with the service he needs. That's a Ralph problem, not an AA problem.

Our attacking is pitiful though.

I see it written that Ralph is a great coach but no one ever provides evidence for that.

If you're on his wages then yes, it's a reward.

A good coach tunes his formation, tactics etc to suit his squad. Ralph has never done this. That's why he needs to go.

If Ralph stays the way he has been since he joined then I am pleased to hear he is planning to move on. Personally I would prefer he left sooner. If we are planning to move on and upwards then we need a better class of coach and coaching staff. Yes he may improve but that's a big If. So far with his record I think we need a better manager

But KWP is better than Livramento though when played in his proper position. Perraud doesn't play as I suspect Ralph knows KWP will leave if he doesn't get game time

But we are patently not better at going forward are we. The Ralph fans obsess about how we have improved defensively this season although that is laughable. Ralph is flawed at every part of coaching.

Sad thing here is that you're serious. A high quality manager chooses the best squad, formation and tactics to suit his team. Ralph's doesn't do any of those things.

Standard Saints. We scrape a few wins against the worst teams in the league. We perform well in the first half yet can't achieve anything. We play players out of position. Second half we get random substitutions and completely fail to counter the opposition . Ralph seems confused how we lose again. Ralph is the problem. Fans biting at each other on here just makes it more amusing.
