If you look at the key politicians in the US they are Christian (the US is a Christian country obviously) and a lot of the Republican voting base is also. I think a lot of the discussion about the Nigerian involvement is related to that. The issue of the killing of Nigerian Christians has been circulating as a key matter in conservative groups for a number of months. Honestly I don’t know as much about what is happening in the Sudan but I understand that this is a mix of issues. I’m not personally saying that it wouldn’t be great to stop some of the utterly awful things happening there but the reasons for Trump to have to intervene may be different. I don’t think he will. Sudan has lots of natural resources and is politically much less stable so if he did get involved somebody could allege the same reasons you have in relation to Nigeria. In fact intervention in Sudan maybe easier politically and in terms of grabbing resource, if that was the aim. Therefore I wouldn’t say a lack of intervention in Sudan would prove he is getting involved in Nigeria for economic reasons if that makes sense i would like Trump to threaten military action on staple wood though if they don’t pull their fingers out😂

I actually removed that comment as I agree with you in principle. However, there isn’t any evidence in relation to Nigeria. So what we agree is that he wouldn’t need military action if he wanted ti exploit energy resources. So why then is he not using other means of control in Nigeria to gain control of energy resources as we know he doesn’t want to get involved in boots on the ground. Instead it’s more likely that he is threatening a military stance to stop radicalised militants killing people as force is the only think those nut jobs will listen to

This is speculative and very weak. Where is your evidence of this? If you don’t have evidence of this, your reason for not stopping this genocide is speculative in the context of tens of thousands of lives that could be saved.

Ok is stopping this genocide a good or bad action by Trump? What you said is obviously not what I’m saying. You can criticise him for some actions but if he does a good thing dont then ignore that good thing by harping on about bad things you think he has done which aren’t related.

A number of you seem to think that Trump shouldn’t be doing this. I asked you a couple of times and you dodged the question. Either Trump stopping this genocide is a good or bad thing.

Your point is a crude on though because if an intervention inevitably results in some deaths but stops genocide overall it’s a good thing. You are comparing this to Iraq and Afghanistan which were invaded for completely different reasons. Again I’m very surprised that people think stopping genocide is a bad idea. Very weird

They will if the US goes into Nigeria and exterminates them and if they don’t problem solved anyway. This is about putting pressure on the Nigerian government to use its military to stop this genocide, rather than standing by. US intervention will be a last resort but after Iran people know Trump will back up his statements

The police haven’t confirmed the motive yet. So two blokes decided, with no ideological motive, to go and stab a load of people on a Saturday night. There is a motive but the police either don’t know yet or don’t want to release the reasons yet. If there was only one guy I could understand it is some deranged lunatic but with two there is a plan and motive And of course it’s good news that there are now only 2 people in critical condition and we hope they survive

Well let’s see then. But basically what you are saying is at the moment there isn’t anyone you would vote for because they are all shite. I tend to agree but the Tories or Reform are the closest to what I will vote for. Otherwise you would have to spoil your ballot which I don’t think is constructive

I agree - my 9 year old son supports them but if, when we were kids, we had to watch this I think it would be difficult for us to get excited or interested in it. I hope things get better and the fans need to start booting off. My “joy” will return but it’s pretty hard not to be apathetic at the moment in relation to the team itself

They have a lot of policies to improve things for start up businesses. Mine wouldn’t benefit from these but I think these policies will help the business environment generally. The main one I could benefit from is the proposed reduction in corporation tax.

After today I’ve changed my mind. He should go now. After the whole talk of standing up and being counted this week, we could have turned it around. We didn’t so I don’t see what else we can do
