Saints FA Cup 5th round local derby against Portsmouth has been chosen as one of the ties to be shown live on ITV1. The match at St. Mary’s is scheduled for a 12.30 pm kick-off on Saturday 13th February with each club receiving £247,500 from the FA’s Broadcast Fund.

We are so close to being 'almost there' - the finished article. A little more time for the newbies to gel - Harding & Hammond back (not to mention a fit-again Connelly) - plus this "new" mystery midfielder I keep reading about (whoever he is!) - and we'll be a cracking side for this division. This temporary blip won't last much longer. We will finish the season very strongly - I just know it. COYS!

A point away isn't the end of the world in the grand scheme of things. Some of the other clubs around us didn't fair too well - so it's still 'as you were' really. Every team goes through a bad patch/blip during what is a long L1 season - and ours is now. The important factor is to get back to playing bloody good football asap like we were doing earlier in the season - and string a good run together for the remaining third of the season that's left.

A tough game this one tonight. Brentford are a good side at home & it will take a gutsy, determined performance by Saints in order to take all 3 points. I can see us having to dig in & really grind out a win. It won't be 'easy' that's for sure - but in reality - anything other than a win will be a massive knock-back and if we don't get all 3 points - it's as good as season over as regards making the play-offs.

One good point of note: both Kaboul & Belhadj will be sold this week to balance the books!

There must be last season's membership database on the club's system surely? Maybe a route to go down... Other than that: there will be a big surge in half-season tickets!

Agreed. I can't see any ST holders being guaranteed anything other than their own seat for the game - as per previous years I believe? As there are no memberships this season - the club are going to have to come up with a scheme that's both fair & just for all those that have gone to home/away games thus far. Quite how they will work it out (what criteria) I have no idea - but either way - there are going to be many many disappointed fans!

Your Honour: I would just like to say in my defence that I posted the fact that we had kept a clean sheet thus far until the 90th minute when suddenly - my fingers slipped on the keyboard & I mistakenly typed "another clean sheet" when in reality - I meant to type "another clean sweep" - a reference to our back back four mopping up nicely. I apologise to all members of the forum for opening my gob prematurely - and thus causing an instant jinx (as per usual with Saints) - but as it happens - we did win anyway - and I therefore ask the moderator's to review my continued membership of SWF with leniency and compassion before banning me indefinitely. Furthermore - I promise - from this day forward - to never gob off about 'clean sheets' or anything to do with goals/the game - I will just shut up - remain quiet - and post match photos whilst the game is going on.
