HT. Got away with only 1-0. WBA have been miles better...in every part of the pitch. This has been coming, we have been very slow for large periods in nearly all of our games....this time, WBA are at it (unlike QPR the other day)

Right there is why Mubama will not make it (at this club)...his pass to Downes was lost, Downes slipped up and Mubama should have dropped/raced back to fill in...he did not and just strolled around whilst Downes got up and sprinted back

Tonda.... Big evolution for WBA this season. Similar shape but play differently. Credit to them, they have evolved a lot. The results are there. We must be ready to run, they will make us and it will be one of the toughest away games of the season The mindset of the players is important. Sometimes they are happy to go more direct and not as confident I remember this for my game against QPR last year, WBA are on a similar evolution They have individual quality, they have certain threats and a structure that is very difficult to defend We will look at more of their games later to inform the boys tomorrow If we played on Weds, we may have stayed out with the 2 away games. But as it is Tuesday, we will be back home We will have a day to recover then travel to Preston on Friday We never complain about the fixtures Larin knows his body, but even today he is really happy, he is good around the team It is just a decision how quickly we all want him back. The issue is towards the bottom end of the hamstring I would not rule him out of the game Flynn is ready to start We will find out if Matsuki can play 3 times this week, he has played a lot if you consider his time with Japan This is part of his progress, this is a physical challenge. Manning was very good and MoM on FOTMOB (which is usually pretty accurate). From a defensive PoV he get the least protection from the player in front of him in the whole side. Leo is probably the least effective from a defensive view, where as Matuski on the other side is pretty good at doubling with Bree. We have tightened up at the back largely due to JwP, who does a good job getting across the pitch to cover the left side

He has been pretty good...and is making a difference. His work rate is superb and his movement creates a fair bit of space. We just have to hope the opposition do not adjust to stop his effectiveness whilst Larin is out.

They are bang on it at the moment....but so are we (at home at least)....A draw would be good.

The lad is class, and probably a significant part in a bit more defensive solidity. He is constantly sweeping up in front of the back line and dropping to the left side to cover for Manning/Leo consistently 8/10 every game.....

Sunderland and/or palace look like they could go, already....
