The war was won, in respect that the US/UK needed to remain for another generation. Very strange victory, don't you think?

    Afghanistan

Barak Obama told the international community that the war in Afghanistan "had been won" 🤔
  3. Also, if they are left or right footed
  4. They claimed Virgil was/is the greatest CB ever to play in the prem, when they won the league. Remember, the hype around their players at the best of times.
  5. Dont forget the "Liverpool premium" when it comes to praise/hype for their players
  6. It would be tragic over 38 games. We all know it, hence why we will buy someone
  7. hilarious. Really hilarious
  8. I am unsure any manager ever really has his own side, unless they stay for 5+ years. Even then, that is a huge ask.
  9. it is his team, KWP, Salisu, Perraud, Livramento, Diallo, Walcott, Djenepo, Adams, Armstrong, Broja + New CB & Tella (brought into the team under him) We will have almost an entire starting line up every game brought in under Ralph. That is his team.
  10. Trouble is, in the very few games he has played, he looked terrible on the ball. Randomly (and under little/no pressure) just gving the ball away. Then there is the few times he was totally schooled. That is not to write him off, as you say, he is very inexperienced. That is why I hope the club do not buy a livramento type for a new CB, but an Adam Armstrong type.
  11. it is a great race to the bottom with the defence. It was disgraceful last season, and we are about to sell the best one of the lot. Hopefully we will sign someone better than at least 2 of the 3 we have left
  12. that is a problem. Bednarek is pretty rubbish and we have no idea is Salisu is any good over a season. he was decent at times last season, but completely schooled others, in the few appearances he had
  13. depends if said replacement is a 'starter' or one to challenge the 3 very average CBs Vestergaard leaves behind. I cannot see the club signing someone not considered good enough to start myself, but you never know
  14. I think he just has to win the CL. That is the holy grail for these clubs
  15. Don't know about you? I sort the issue by changing the picture on my social media accounts.
  16. this is not sour grapes, but he was terrible for us - until last season Last season, he looked very good mostly, but that was against us having a disgraceful season in keeping the ball out. Our other CBs are pretty crap BTW. He is excellent at spraying a ball out from the back to either wing - quater back style. That will be a big miss. As a squad player, you could do a lot worse I guess given the position in the table you are now operating in.
  17. We need a starting quality CB if (when) Vestergaard leaves. Going into a season with Salisu, Stephens, Bednarek, & a midfielder who can fill a gap, would be hilarious.
  18. however, he was our best CB last season. He was a starter ahead of everyone else after a few games and we missed him when he was injured. Salisu is still very uknown at this level. Looks decent, although terrible on the ball but time will tell.
  19. Then, they will all do their utmost to 'make the plane' to the equal-rights mecca that is Qatar. Gays are most certainly not allowed in that village! I bet the rainbow shirts do not quite get there.
  20. if we want to buy anyone next summer - DESPITE the summer where we are supposedly clear, all crap gone (inc FF big wages) - we will probably have an excuse to sell before we buy! JwP will probably be a big money spinner
  21. I still think we need a starting quality CB to be brought in. Salisu is very inexperienced and the others; well, errr, a NO from me.
  22. I have heard that JwP and Saints are not against a move (to Villa), if the bid (and money up front) is big enough. North of £40m. Until such time as bids no where near that mark are received, we continue to "not want to see our skipper"
  23. No matter how we are financially, had we lost a first team player for 6 months, we would not have gone shopping for a premier league starter. look at the state we made of the Virgil situation, when Vardy crocked him. Probably cost us the league cup.
  24. the benchmark to be in/around our first team is as low as it has been since our return to the premier league. We are woeful 2 words - Shane & Long Why on earth we gave him another deal a couple of years ago, will remain one of lifes great unsolved mysteries. I know of fans who applauded the contract. Madness
