Damion Downs - Official: Loaned to Hamburg

Not too much of a gamble? are you mad? -
Great timing. Nice job for Russell, potential nice life in leafy Hertfordshire where his vegan-based liberal views will be well received. well, nice until the owners get bored
-
Trust the Process; Embrace the Pain did not become beautiful at Rangers in the end. Sad times for the footballing purists
-
No fucking about. Get it done.

If they were a left-leaning UK political party, they'd be voted in for another term, let alone derided like this

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

If Labour have a poor show in May, he will be gone I should imagine. Absolute horror show of a PM -
Norwich is screaming out for him. Any of the middling clubs who fall away from the playoffs… Blackburn maybe. Hull or Watford will probably need a new manager soon, which is what they do.
-
Spors, the person who hired Spors. Allowed a situation where Anderson led a transfer window. he is the main man with all of this. He holds the power
-
Yes, yes you can. He is the owner, he hires people, he puts in place those who run the club. So yes, Solak is a major part of the problem .
-
It’s not tough at all.

What will it take for any of you to actually question the ability of the manager? the squad of players he has would be a delight for nearly every other club outside of the premier league. IE, about 70 teams. he is failing and failing miserably, no one has an idea what we are doing, which is unforgivable to be fair given he has had the entire pre season and 10 games in. Yet gets a pretty easy ride/free pass, from you guys (including a local journo). You have a great Podacst, and a must listen every Sunday/Monday morning

Poor coaching or players not up to scratch ?
AlexLaw76 replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
Now we have regressed so much that we simply have no chance unless we have a huge lump up front. Still has a group of players that almost every other club outside of the premier league would kill for, and he has wingers at Wing Back, lumping balls into the box and leaving the middle of the park wide open. -
They are a monstrosity of an ownership. destroyed the club to a degree. Solak and the others get an incredibly easy ride from the local press and fans alike.
-
Oh I agree, and I could see right through him during the unbeaten run. but it would be a damning indictment on Still if he falls short of the points/final position of what Martin achieved a few years back. He should have been relieved of his duties a week after the playoff final. I guess the new contract he got instead was part of his deal when he originally signed. Then it became criminal holding onto him for as long as we did, then to admit he was moved on for reasons other than football!
-
Last time he was in the championship he got promoted. Even Will Still would need to radically improve to achieve at least that
-
Now compare the mood of each set of fans! Even the TSP last night was very placid about it all, with only the slightest bubble of annoyance from Martin Sanders.

Amazed if he survives this... https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/“future-in-doubt”-sky-sports.309940/

Some of our fans live in fantasy land, expecting this season to be preparation for the title charge in the next few years. Every season we stay down, the worse it will get. I joking used to say SR were going to turn us into Stoke. Right now, that would be an achievement. Half the team were good enough to get promoted last time, some of the players we brought in are top top championship players, and others are clearly good enough for the top in this league (and then there is Downs). -
In another way, we probably could have got Carlton Morris, Kieffer Moore and Ollie McBurnie for no more than we paid for Downs... One of them alone would have scored more goals than Downs this season at Saints, and all would have offered plenty for a promotion chasing teams at different points of the season.

Saints or Rangers?
