Looking forward to the Brighton game, should be a good game between two sides of similar quality. Think we can nick it, hoping they dont get out of their rut at our expense - they are quite capable of pulling this off. Weirdly, I wonder if we concede first (in the 1st half) if that would help us build momentum and have a better 2nd half. Whilst I didnt think we were as awful on Weds as we often are in the second period, it is still a bit of a concern, and I do wonder if with Ralph's automations if he does almost preset what changes are going to happen instead of reading the game. Sounds odd, and he has been generally better than last season with subs, tactics, and formations but still work to do. I mean surely he doesnt automate the subs and stuff, right?

Fair enough, i can see why some think that, I just think he could have done better. I’m not even blaming him for us dropping points or anything like that. Other than this incident, thought he was actually ok, made a great save near the end, and it isn’t like we have a prime Lev Yashin on the bench waiting to take over. I’d stick with Alex going forward until we buy a new No 1. Sticking Fraser in really isn’t going to suddenly generate much of a different performance.

True, shame the refs cant stop some of the play acting that blights the game so much…

I agree with the first part, some keepers could have saved it, but it wasnt easy, and was hit hard from close range. The first goal though, whilst it could have gone anywhere, was poor imo - keepers basic jobs are to push the ball to the sides, which is a ‘safer’ area of the goal threat - regardless of seeing that late, he put it back in the danger area - was a mistake, and down to him. I cant call the first save as good as it was right at him - I’d expected every keeper to make the first save, but not push it out where it came from.

You’re correct, Broja will be a good player, he is very young just now, and will be inconsistent. Not sure who plays Sat though, I think currently Broja and AA are having about the same impact on games, and I think our biggest issue for all our Strikers is the lack of creating behind them. Tells, whilst playing well y’day, wasnt great when in the final third, and maybe as he hasn’t had game time, but we barely created anything for the two up top. Actually, apart from Redmond, thought he was alright, great cross and Che reacted well to score that.

Yep, spot on. That chance Broja tucked away was awesome last night. Won us the game, the lads a hero, fucking hero I tells you. Armstrong would have just cut back to try to turn, for some weird reason, and the chance would have gone begging.

Yeah totally agree. Alex is a bit streaky in his form and confidence. Right now I think he is in panic mode. Is it just me also, thought the ref is giving us nothing, first time I’ve got pissed off about a game for an age due to ref performance.

Isn’t the header from Che an extremely rare event, in that he doesn’t do headed goals.?

No one could save the goal, but Alex scooped the ball literally into the path of the only Leicester player who could have a free shot on goal. He should have pushed the shot to the side, it is pretty basic keeping to not push balls back out into the centre area.
