Yes, those are the ones, maybe you know them? The signs are 'advisory' and I don't have an issue with the mongs following them in the inside lane, but when they spread out across all lanes, that's the frustration - especially when the rain stopped ten minutes ago and the road is now just a bit 'damp'.
-
Mongs driving at 40 on the motorway because it's raining!
-
Motorway matrix boards that show "40 - surface water". It's just a bit of rain. If you can't drive in the rain you really shouldn't be driving in the UK!
-
Who are they?
-
You should go all out and get a 16 plate Mondeo Titanium X with (that had) 55k on the clock. Absolutely perfect for the motorways in the South West

Are you suggesting he sent over 2,000 text messages completely unsolicited and without any kind of response? Reading between the lines I suspect, given that the 'relationship' lasted for over two years, that things were all rosy in the garden at the beginning, but then something happened to turn things 'sour' - probably her husband found out about the 'relationship'. I imagine, at that point, she filed the complaint, after all, there is no mention of her reporting the issues in the previous two years. But, that's just my guess and although highly unlikely, it could be wrong. There are always two sides to every story, Soggy, but just like the Ched Evans case, you always seem very reluctant to consider that to be the case.

Nothing definite in that article that the new strain IS more contagious. Lots of ifs, buts and maybes. It could of course all be coincidence. I think the whole country was baffled when the last lockdown ended and London / South East was put in tier 2 whilst many rural areas put in tier 3. Anyone with half a brain has already worked out that areas where there is a denser population will have higher infection rates, throw in mass public transport and this will be exacerbated. There's no denying there IS a new strain and there's no denying it is being recorded more often, but that could just be because it has now become the more dominant variation and the increase in cases is because 20 odd million people were given more freedom to mingle than they should have been.... Some people will never learn. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/13397048/four-arrested-breaking-covid-rules-hundreds-teens-harrods/

Have you ever heard the phrase 'it takes two to tango'? I suspect 2,000 text messages can be considered as a tango don't you - unless you think he sent 2,000 text messages without getting one single response, in which case he should probably be put in a secure unit.

They've not been sacked... They find out next month whether they will be sacked or not...

I get it, the bloke is clearly a class one dick, but this quote from that article stands out for me : 2,000 text messages? Seriously? Why would anyone continue engaging with a dick like that if the text messages 'made them feel dirty, really dirty'? Surely after the first couple she would have had more than enough 'evidence' to log a complaint against him - she was also a police officer so would have been more than aware of the level of proof needed to succesfully prosecute him. Not blocking him and not reporting him for 2 years would suggest she was, at least initially, happy to engage with him, wouldn't it?

Six fingers crossed! It'll make the annual slide from the top even funnier this year

Again, that's not quite right. I believe even the most stupid recruiter would have noticed that. From memory, I think they sent the same CV with the name changed multiple times, to lots of different jobs, so as to not arouse suspicion. That, though, is a flaw in the plan as the same CV wouldn't be right for lots of different jobs, which may explain the difference when it comes to interview offers...
-
Not sure that's how it worked. The study said they used the same CV, just changed the name, so there should have been no deeming of the CVs to be any different from one another.

To be fair, 'he' is a 'she'

I get that and it's the sensible thing to do. Doesn't mean that you 'couldn't' have relocated to Europe if you felt that strongly about the UK - like the post that I quoted, from someone who has spent the last four years constantly berating the UK and claiming the EU is so much better....
-
Evidence? Are we really going to lose 50% of the GDP if we don't have an FTA signed?
-
But, but, but, but, fishing is irrelevant, it's the proverbial 'red herring', it's worth a miniscule amount to the UK's GDP so it can't possibly be of any significance to negotiations, or something like that

Mental! How many bona fide 'racists' are going to watch an historical drama? How many of those are going to watch an historical drama about Martin Luther King Jr?
-
But which people need it selling to them....

Cool story, bro

Fair play. I know my nephew's school have done the same thing with everyone present with cameras on for every lesson when not in school. Embarrasing that the schools around us haven't had the same philosophy but I guess the 'academy' set the rules and have the monopoly on schooling in the area.
