  1. Unlike 'Brexit Jihadists'?
  2. Even the flu jab has a warning that it contains egg products and not to have it if you have 'dairy' allergies. A non story really.
  3. A more reasoned explanation can be found here
  4. Absolutely Looks like Millwall have decided that today is the point they stop taking the knee, instead they will link arms in solidarity. Should the question be, is it really the job of football / sport to fix society's problems? Is football equipped to solve complex issues or should it stick to being about kicking a ball around, largely for entertainment, with a little local rivalry thrown in for good measure?
  5. Oh, why didn't you say! Now it's crystal clear, I mean, I'm always looking out for statements from the Millwall players! I take it all back and have to agree with your original assessment that anyone who didn't read that statement from Millwall is clearly a 'thickie' for not knowing they had no political intentions whatsoever /sarcasm I assume that statement also covers the Derby players?
  6. This one is from the Premier League - pretty wishy washy to be fair, nothing in there about political messages, but does re-inforce the legal obligations within the UK regarding discrimination : https://www.premierleague.com/news/1680826
  7. Lol. That's the FA statement. It also only mentions 'taking the knee' and not 'black power salutes' which have a political connotation. This one is from the EFL - you know, the league that Millwall and Derby play in - can you show the 'crystal clear' bit about political messages in this one? https://www.efl.com/news/2020/june/not-today-or-any-day---efl-clubs-stand-together-against-racism-as-season-resumes/
  8. To be fair, they haven't actually said which one of the other options they are supporting if they definitely aren't supporting the political group - perhaps it's the Twitter hashtag as most footballers aren't renowned for being brimming with A levels..... Any luck finding out what the Black Power salute was supporting if it definitely isn't a political movement?
  9. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it seems pretty clear that mrfahaji has misunderstood Bearsy's post - either that or he just doesn't understand sarcasm.
  10. This sounds like cracking news for cyclists! Twice I've come off so far, both times due to black ice on the road! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55179603
  11. Ah, right, thanks for clarifying. Earlier you said the statement was crystal clear and implied anyone that didn't understand it was a bit thick. Looks like you didn't really understand the 'crystal clear' statement yourself when you mentioned their gestures (plural) rather than your current stance that they were only talking about taking the knee...
  12. Guessing? Seriously? I thought it was all in the magic statement and was crystal clear regarding political gestures?
  13. Oh, I see, it was all in the statement and crystal clear that there is nothing political in their gestures. What was in the statement about Kazim-Richards and him standing with his raised fist as in the pictures above - just a general wave to someone he spotted in the crowd or a 'Black Power' / political movement salute?
  14. Apparently not and seemed to be fine yesterday at the Millwall v Derby game.
  15. Are you unable to seperate the fact that people can support anti racism campaigns - like Kick it out - but, at the same time, not agree with a political movement that has some crackpot stated goals / aspirations. 'Taking the knee' has become synonymous with BLM. BLM is the movement people are objecting to, not the anti racism sentiments.
  16. So why the move away from the perfectly reasonable, well established 'kick it out' campaign that was relevant to the football industry?
  17. Because the ones he mentioned (a nurse and a pharmacist), weren't 'managers'.
  18. I never mentioned a quantity. Only an idiot would assume I meant "all".
  19. It's not an arrogant slur but an observation of those that I have seen and the work they have contributed. I've also listened to numerous complaints from those not working in managerial roles regarding the same thing, especially from external contractors. It's called an opinion; people are allowed to have them based on their observations and learnings - just like you can have your opinion that I am dim, it really isn't something I'll lose sleep over.
  20. He's proven over and over again that that is not true
  21. What a load of bollocks - see post above with quotes and links to the Pfizer document that disproves all of this statement.
  22. Fair play, there is always an exception that proves every rule.
  23. I'm assuming you didn't bother to read the link I posted for you. Let me put a few quotes here to show how wrong you are, once more - feel free to take any of your objections up with the Pfizer scientists as all the info is from the link to their publication. The vaccine comes in it's own, specially designed shipping container to keep it nice and cold : Once it's been shipped it will maintain the recommended storage temperature (as above) for 10 days without anyone even touching it - so much for the -80c you claim it needs : Once the shipment has been opened, it needs to have dry ice added every five days to maintain the correct storage temperate for up to 30 days There is no mention on their website of -80c, this just seems to be a figure you've made up - feel free to read it slowly if it helps you.
  24. Don't worry about it, coming from Timmy I take that as a compliment. There were a number of occasions during my 18 years as a General Manager of various pubs and restaurants that I helped out my staff with the 'menial' cleaning tasks. That's the thing about the private sector, managers are prepared to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in to get the job done, unlike the yoghurt knitters in the public sector who are more than happy to sit back and claim it's not their job....
  25. You better get on to Pfizer and tell them quickly, those pesky scientists over there seem convinced about -70c - wow, they must be super thick and dull those guys https://www.pfizer.co.uk/mhra-grants-temporary-authorisation-for-Pfizer-BioNTech-COVID-19-mRNA-vaccine
