Interestingly, the article link below contains the following : https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/healthandsocialcare/causesofdeath/bulletins/coronaviruscovid19relateddeathsbyoccupationenglandandwales/deathsregisteredbetween9marchand28december2020 Whilst it doesn't state how many of those had underlying conditions, it does acknowlege that they are included in the number.

In that case, statistically, no-one has died from Covid / coronavirus either, given that what kills them is repiratory, heart or kidney failure (predominantly). The same way that the aids 'virus' attacks organs in the body. https://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/covid-related-hospital-deaths-devon-4926980 https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/healthandsocialcare/causesofdeath/bulletins/coronaviruscovid19relateddeathsbyoccupationenglandandwales/deathsregisteredbetween9marchand28december2020

I agree with you 100%. Doesn't take away from the fact that for the overwhelming majority of the population it is similar to a bad flu! When it comes to the under 25s you can probably reduce that to the same as a bit of a cold. As I mentioned, there are certain groups for which the virus is devastating. Both concepts are able to exist at the same time.

WTF? https://www.unaids.org/en/resources/fact-sheet

And yet, the statistics show that for the overwhelming majority of the population, that is exactly what it is. Unless you have some statistical data that suggests otherwise. (and no, I'm not claiming that the virus is a hoax etc etc and am more than aware that for certain people in certain age groups / demographics catching the virus is devastating, but I am willing to accept that both those standpoints can co-exist).

Basically Boris was a trailblazer recommending a course of action that even the WHO wouldn't recommend until two days after him. https://www.who.int/news/item/07-03-2020-who-statement-on-cases-of-covid-19-surpassing-100-000 Looks like Boris's 20-20 hindsight was well tuned even back then

Yep, we should have copied North Korea. Zero cases there. Why, oh, why aren't we more like them?
-
Nope, neither of those are Australia. HTH.
-
Looks like there could now be competition as to what kills the most people, the virus or the war over the vaccine!
-
Why are DPD refusing to deliver it?
-
On the flip side it's teaching them not to expect the plumber to fix the problem which is far more realistic.

Great, Mr thickie is here! It's possible to accept that "some" of the people would be the same without assuming that "all" of them are. Hopefully that's put things in simple enough terms for you, but do shout if you're still struggling.
-
Typical racist BBC calling the virus variations after geographical locations. Shame on them and the misuse of my licence fee. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55797312 But good news about the vaccine though - even if they are all racist scum over at the BBC!
-
Careful, you'll confuse certain forum users with your use of the word 'people'

aintclever by name....

Where exactly have I assumed this - although I'll bet that some of them are the same...
-
Bless, are you struggling because I didn't give them a polarised nick name, like covidiots, remoaners or brexit scum?

They are a very good idea. Not sure about the social distancing element though. https://educateachild.org/our-partners-projects/projects/boat-schools-rural-children

No win for the Government when it comes to schools! Before Xmas people were shouting from the rooftops that it was unsafe for kids to be in school and the Government had blood on its hands keeping them in. Now, just over a month later with infections still higher than they were pre Xmas and deaths rising daily people are clamouring for the kids to go back! Returning after Easter (based on current figures) makes more sense than mid February!

Don't worry, we've got that covered with the new import duty charges

That's his M.O. Keep digging and hope no one notices.

Good for them. Rightly they should be doing whatever is best for their business. If that means moving to the EU then fair play. Some of them may have been better off doing so before we ended the transition period as they wouldn't have needed to meet immigration criteria, but I guess they were seeing if they could have their cake and eat it. I'm not sure the loss of tax income will be an enormous hit to the economy unless you have some early figures that say differently?

Then it's by choice that you make up a load of pony.

You missed the important bit of adapt, invent and overcome first. These are key steps before we tell them to suck it the fuck up. Unlike you to read a post and infer what you thought was said
-
Maybe that will happen to some of today's woke youngsters?
