  1. What can we look forward to on January 1st when no deal is the reality? Give us your best (worst) case scenarios so we can compare with the reality later in the year...
  2. Yesterday they carried out the execution of a man who was convicted in 1999 - over 20 years ago! If Trump was doing it 'out of spite' wouldn't it have made more sense for him to do so at the beginning of his Presidency? It's not like the guy wasn't already in prison on 'death row' at that time!
  3. It's the only possible conclusion that can be drawn really. Four and a half years of negotiations, elections, law making and lots of cross channel visits, but in the end it is all completely ruined with less than three weeks to go, because Boris cracked a shit joke and looked scruffy (which is his 'trademark' anyway isn't it?)
  4. Charities. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-55260495
  5. So pretty much what GM stated when he said we had FTAs with 'almost' 60 countries then?
  6. Haven't we always traded with 2 of our top 3 trading partners on WTO terms and tariffs?
  7. Jesus wept! I used to think you were just pretending to be 'Tim, nice but dim', recently you are do everything in your power to prove that is exactly who you are. GM originally stated that we have FTAs with almost 60 COUNTRIES - I've put the important bit in capitals for you so you don't miss it - here is his statement : You've then argued with that statement claiming there are only 28 after 1st January - here is your statement : It's only now that you are claiming FTAs as opposed to the FTAs with COUNTRIES that GM stated. At no point before then did you claim it was stand alone FTAs, so it stands to reason you were arguing (pointlessly) with GMs statement about countries. As I said before, those 'thick as shit' people in glass houses, shouldn't be throwing stones.
  8. Lol. Badger counted 54, you counted 28. Those 'pig shit thick' people in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones
  9. Not really bothered about the 'list' tbh. The point was that £17bn isn't exactly 'tiny' as Tim claimed. Mind you, the 'list' does pour scorn on Timmy's claim of 28 deals done to date.
  10. And yet we have one with Canada who also have one with the EU. Theoretically, nothing stopping a company from Canada buying goods from the EU and then selling them on to the UK before they've even left the EU - obviously adding on a small mark up for their trouble - FTA with the EU via the backdoor and plenty of money to be made for anyone looking to take advantage...
  11. Like the tiny, £17bn one with Singapore. https://www.ft.com/content/51b7eb87-5812-4765-a483-d50c2c66f130
  12. Unlike 'Brexit Jihadists'?
  13. Even the flu jab has a warning that it contains egg products and not to have it if you have 'dairy' allergies. A non story really.
  14. A more reasoned explanation can be found here
  15. Absolutely Looks like Millwall have decided that today is the point they stop taking the knee, instead they will link arms in solidarity. Should the question be, is it really the job of football / sport to fix society's problems? Is football equipped to solve complex issues or should it stick to being about kicking a ball around, largely for entertainment, with a little local rivalry thrown in for good measure?
  16. Oh, why didn't you say! Now it's crystal clear, I mean, I'm always looking out for statements from the Millwall players! I take it all back and have to agree with your original assessment that anyone who didn't read that statement from Millwall is clearly a 'thickie' for not knowing they had no political intentions whatsoever /sarcasm I assume that statement also covers the Derby players?
  17. This one is from the Premier League - pretty wishy washy to be fair, nothing in there about political messages, but does re-inforce the legal obligations within the UK regarding discrimination : https://www.premierleague.com/news/1680826
  18. Lol. That's the FA statement. It also only mentions 'taking the knee' and not 'black power salutes' which have a political connotation. This one is from the EFL - you know, the league that Millwall and Derby play in - can you show the 'crystal clear' bit about political messages in this one? https://www.efl.com/news/2020/june/not-today-or-any-day---efl-clubs-stand-together-against-racism-as-season-resumes/
  19. To be fair, they haven't actually said which one of the other options they are supporting if they definitely aren't supporting the political group - perhaps it's the Twitter hashtag as most footballers aren't renowned for being brimming with A levels..... Any luck finding out what the Black Power salute was supporting if it definitely isn't a political movement?
  20. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it seems pretty clear that mrfahaji has misunderstood Bearsy's post - either that or he just doesn't understand sarcasm.
  21. This sounds like cracking news for cyclists! Twice I've come off so far, both times due to black ice on the road! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55179603
  22. Ah, right, thanks for clarifying. Earlier you said the statement was crystal clear and implied anyone that didn't understand it was a bit thick. Looks like you didn't really understand the 'crystal clear' statement yourself when you mentioned their gestures (plural) rather than your current stance that they were only talking about taking the knee...
  23. Guessing? Seriously? I thought it was all in the magic statement and was crystal clear regarding political gestures?
  24. Oh, I see, it was all in the statement and crystal clear that there is nothing political in their gestures. What was in the statement about Kazim-Richards and him standing with his raised fist as in the pictures above - just a general wave to someone he spotted in the crowd or a 'Black Power' / political movement salute?
