Are infections rising or falling - simple question that even you can answer....
-
The point is that masks, as can be seen by the continued rising number of infections, are not an effective means of controlling the virus and ultimately lead to a false sense of protection. Whilst you and your wife have my sympathies for the illness she currently has, the only effective measure that controls the virus is to remove contact with the general population.
-
So, how are we getting on since face masks were made compulsory, looking good right?

Remind us, which one is he again, is it the home or foreign secretary? -
Pretty sure that an employment contract where an employer can be brought into disrepute doesn't apply to an elected official...

I disagree. I don't believe ANYONE should lose their job as a result of a breach of the procedures. If one person does, then everyone guilty of the same 'crime' should also lose their livelihood, but I'm not convinced that will solve anything. She SHOULD accept the highest level of fine and pay up. After all, that is the prescribed penalty for breaching the regulations, not losing your livelihood.

The election may turn out to be a moot point anyway https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-54381848

Phew, that's alright then! She only took and 8 and a bit hour train (who knows how many people she met during that time) to London, then spent the day in Parliament - not many 'at risk' punters there she could have infected! - then, the day after receiving a positive test she took another 8 and a bit hour train ride back to Scotland. Since she apologised that should be fine! Hopefully she won't be able to put her £1k fine on expenses now she's been suspended

How much does it cost to copy and paste last week's question into an email and send it to the same people? Don't think they would have saved themselves that much money.... And it's 'North' Somerset
-
Careful! You'll get him so worked up he'll post links to another poll where they ask the same question to the same small sample of people over and over again and claim that as the majority of opinion when they give the same answer every time!

Is there not a more practical reason as to why it won't happen given that there are 24 official langauges in the EU! Which one would they use to speak to each other?

They really are a piece of work aren't they!

Not necessarily - see post above....

You're implying that the poll asked on average 1,600 random people on 154 seperate occasions - giving a total poll size in the region of around 250,000. Can you provide any links that state this is the case - I posted a link to the notes from that survey previously, but they are here for you to reference : https://whatukthinks.org/eu/questions/in-highsight-do-you-think-britain-was-right-or-wrong-to-vote-to-leave-the-eu/?notes I cannot find anywhere in those notes where it states that an entirely new group of people were asked the questions each and every time - but am happy for you to point me in the right direction. For all we know, they may have an email list of 2,000 people who they send the poll out to every week and see how many reply. There is nothing in the notes to suggest otherwise...

But that's not just any old protest, that's a 'passionate' protest, although would expect nothing else from the most passionate fans in the world.

Since August 2017, that question has been asked 154 times. The sample size used each time the question was asked was in the region of 1600 people. Since March 2020 the question has been asked with only one other question in the poll. All 154 polls were funded by The Times. More stats can be found here : https://whatukthinks.org/eu/questions/in-highsight-do-you-think-britain-was-right-or-wrong-to-vote-to-leave-the-eu/?notes

Based on the fact that the exact number of Indians in the country is not known. Also based on a large percentage of Indians that live in very rural areas with little to no access to basic medical facilities let alone the testing and reporting facilities that is needed to give precise and accurate figures.
-
Not convinced that India's reporting, testing and recording is at the same level as the US...

I guess their hopes about people not being ignorant cunts were shattered on Saturday night, who know? https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1340518/coronavirus-curfew-lockdown-liverpool-london-covid19-second-wave

I guess it's easy to say with hind sight, but maybe more use could have been made of the Nightingale hospitals which could have housed the Covid patients, whilst regular hospitals carried on treating regular patients. Maybe that's what will happen second time round...

Yep, absolutely the only reason, you nailed it! Definitely not because sometimes people forget to take one with them.

The Colston hall has now been renamed. Three years they've been considering a new name - long before BLM - the greatest creative minds in Bristol managed to come up with the imaginative Bristol Beacon. -
Lol. You know we're talking about the British public right?
