I'm not sure what the problem is? Last time I checked, Britain was a free country that allowed freedom of speech. Surely Dune, or whoever else for that matter can have whatever religious / political beliefs they choose, and can talk about them to their hearts content. You don't have to agree with his point of view, you don't even have to listen to it via the 'ignore' button. I'm sure the site owners and moderators - even Baj - are sensible enough to not allow people to over step the mark, and will take appropriate action if they do. If you are suggesting that Dune is not entitled to his opinion, then surely that must apply to Super Mikey, BTF and all the other posters on here that state and defend their own political beliefs?

Summer, no idea, maybe Poland for a week or two, October is golf holiday to play Sawgrass

D'oh, having read it again it says club spokesman MARK Storey! Any relation I wonder - more than likely in that inbred part of the world!
-
From that article ‘They take all the money and drip feed it back to us over the season in one 23rds,’ said Mr Storey, adding: ‘We just can’t do that so we’re renegotiating our position.’ I thought he'd left the club for good and gone to live in the tax exile of Hayling Island? Are they really that stupid there that they have given him another bit of the cherry? Maybe he's got himself another of those £70k a month 'consultant' roles

I'll send 'wheels' a text to look at this post on here. He is a big wig at ATC in Whitely and [used] to deal with the recruitment - not sure whether that sort of thing is below him now he's been promoted Either way, I'm sure he can point you in the right direction....

Which leaves point 1. Drink a quantity of alcohol in a time limit. I'm not sure about the specifics of the law, but I'm guessing the police won't be too happy with 100s of people drinking a minimum [i assume they can buy more when the vouchers run out] of 10 pints in 6 hours or so.... I appreciate a lot of people can and do do this every weekend, but the law has moved the onus onto the designated person to be a 'responsible' retailer. As a licencee, I'd steer well clear of a promotion like this, 'just in case'.

Hmmmm. If it truly is in conjunction with Southampton City Council, then they could be opening themselves up for a whole heap of trouble. Personally, I wouldn't pay for a ticket just yet, as what they are advertising is now illegal! See here : http://www.accesstrainingconsultancy.co.uk/view/2083 I guess it would be covered under at least two of the principles : 1. Drink a quantity of alcohol within a time limit. 2. Provision of unlimited or unspecified quantities of alcohol free or for a fixed or discounted fee to the public. Basically charging a fixed fee for an 'all you can drink' session is classed as irresponsible alcohol sales and not permitted. I can't see the police - who are responsible for giving the OK to the event - giving this the thumbs up.....

Because the carriers don't 'carry' any planes

Or, more likely, the non early bird tickets will include the 2% to cover the merchant costs, whereas the early bird ones don't - well, I'm sure that will be the spin at least. Effectively Pompey have probably priced the early bird tickets to include the 2% merchant fee, but figure that by not using credit cards they can get themselves an additional 2% revenue on the five or six tickets they sell in the next fortnight As Asda say, 'every little helps'

Anyone use one of these for all their TV needs? If so, what are your experiences, which are the best ones? We have a Novatech TV, with SKY+ and a Toshiba DVD player connected, so would like one that is easily programmable and will recognise the kit we have

Don't see why not! After all, the FA in their infinite wisdom managed to get a person who doesn't even exist through their FAPPT!
-
Do you honestly believe he coughed up the cash? D_P proved he had no money - he'd even been fired from his last job hadn't he? Yet, we are to believe he paid £10m for the club! How / why did he do this, when even the most basic due dilligence from a non qualified accountant would have showed the club to be in debt to the tune of about £75m at that time! £10m to buy a club worth minus £75m is lunacy in anyone's book! Then add the fact that afterwards when he went 'missing' on his chess tournament he was found to be living in pretty much the same location as Gayboy in Russia! My conclusion, Gayboy wanted shot of the club so he wasn't responsible for the outgoings / debt, whilst still retaining a hold over the ground, buildings, car park etc. A story gets fabricated to 'sell' the club to the Ice cream man and hey presto, a new owner that gets Gayboy off the hook. I don't believe any money changed hands, just the title of ownership of the debts. I'm not convinced we'll ever know the truth of what went on back then, but maybe the liquidators will find an unshredded document somewhere that will get us closer.....
-
Lol at your naivety I'm sure the liquidators report will show that no money has changed hands! I think Phil proved many many pages ago that the Ice cream man did in fact have no money in the first place! Besides, if he made a huge profit by retaining 5% of a bankrupt entity, then I'm guessing that his initial outlay was in fact £0 - that's got to be the only way to make a profit from the skates isn't it
-
I disagree. A takeover usually suggests that money has been paid for a club. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe any money has been handed over on any of those occasions.
-
I know, amazing isn't it! 755 pages and they still haven't been taken over! All that despite four [or five, no-one really knows down there], genuine interested parties, that had sent an email! Imagine what would happen if they were really desperate to sell
-
So, with 10 games to go, they need to average 1 point per game MORE than those in the top six, just to have a stab at a 1 in 4 chance of getting promoted. Assuming the top six win 6 more games each - 18 points - then the Skates will need a minimum of 28 points from 10 games [9 wins and 1 draw]. Toast is my verdict and a severely painful death. Anyway, how are those four [or five, they're not quite sure!] potential suitors shaping up? It seems to have gone a little quiet on the selling the club front during their last few victories!
-
That's unfair. It was obvious that the problems with last month's wages were entirely the bank's fault. Peter Storrie Cotterill said so! You do believe what they said don't you? I mean it's not like there are any reasons not to believe them is there?

Rebate!! I thought you could only get one of those if you over paid your taxes, not the other way round

Pets mutilated and left at the road side in Eastleigh
Weston Super Saint replied to Macey_J2's topic in The Lounge
'Tis a fact that most serial killers will 'practice' on animals first. Anybody find out where Master Bates has been recently I'm guessing that he and Crouchie have got themselves a lovely new flat in Eastleigh Incidentally, isn't that where Jilly lives with all her pussies -
Besides, I think we all agree that this will not happen, which is why the book was started on what the excuse will be for non payment. I'm going with something loosely related to it all being the bank's fault, again.
-
Lol. They've had 'interested' parties for almost an entire year with no sign of a sale. 'Balou' [why are they trying to make him sound like a friendly bear from the Jungle Book!], set a two week deadline, one can only assume that that was set last week and coincides almost perfectly with Crab Lungs payday countdown Also loving the fact that their chief executive actually doesn't have a clue about just how many 'interested' parties there are! Some of the comments are close to the truth, and others just come from the normal deluded retards - where is Corpse by the way
-
I guess all these flakey answers means snowbody snows anything.
-
My guess is that this is the money that Chinny boy was moaning about the other day - another club owes them money, but there is a legal reason why they don't have to pay! That reason, quite simply is because his loan spell is up, it wasn't extended and he was returned to his parent club. Not that it's typical of the skates to believe that they should still be owed his wages for the rest of the season!
-
That's where I found it. It seems to be a 12 month contract, the call charges appear pretty steep, but since I have no intention to use the line for calls, then that won't be a problem....
-
http://www.primusconnect.co.uk/ Does anyone use these guys for their phone line? They are offering line rental for £7.99 per month - £7.41 cheaper than BTs cheapest package. I'm considering ditching BT for my line - already changed broadband to Orange @ £7 per month - and will not use the phone line for any calls, not even connecting a phone to it, just the broadband router. So, anyone use these guys, if so any difference to using BT? Any recommendations for other companies to use instead of BT, the cheaper the better! Already have the line in situ, so no work to be done, just need to switch the provider.
